I’m in PA also but I think Toovey is using Democrat tactics to keep from a serious opponent in primary. He’s claiming he won’t run again but I’ll bet money that after they start a primary with Republicans attacking each other he’ll have a change of heart and throw his hat in the ring. But only after his opponent is damaged enough to let him skate. And he may have to seal the deal with Dominion.

Then to add even more fear into the leftist liberal fascists who stole the election, President Trump can run for the presidency on 2024 as a Congressman and win.

It’s not so simple. The GOPe is going to attract a lot of support from Democrats due to their anti Trump behavior. GOP voters have to be ruthless in defeating Quisling Republicans. Frankly, a large chunk of the GOP base are weak and would rather surrender than fight like Dems to win. I’m all in but defeating these well funded Uniparty rats will be an almost impossible task due to the bipartisan nature of our opposition.

Exactly. They think the House gets to arbitrate who is guilty of insurrection.
So, Toomey and Burr get to skate by with retirement. Collins will probably also retire. Romney (who sux, bad) and Murkowski need to be shown the door very soon. Cassidy and Sasse will have to wait a bit, but the next GOP Senate leadership needs to pull them from everything.

Close the loop ... Congress counts the electoral votes and decides qualifications. Congress decides what is required to disqualify. No court is going to force Congress to do the right thing on a political question.
Pretend or assume Trump wins in 2024. Congress counts the votes .... Congress can, at that moment, do whatever it wants on whatever pretext.
The people aren't going to do anything about it.
So, the remaining card to be played is the 14th Amendment arguing that Trump participated in an insurrection and therefore can be barred from standing for election or serving in government. This assertion is more ridiculous than the Impeachment. Making a speech, something protected by the 1st Amendment, cannot constitute participating in an insurrection. Not to mention that the demonstration at the Capitol on Jan 6 was not an insurrection.
As you say, their next move is to hold a pocketful of votes intended to cement the Democrat hold on the Congress and the Presidency and put an end to the experiment in democracy. If they have their way, the U.S. will join China, Iran, North Korea, and many other countries firmly in the hands of tyrants pretending to be legitimate leaders.
Demoncrats don't think of this as an embarrassment.

Well that would be business as usual.
But I am not so sure that would be the case with President Trump leading the charge. A lot of low swinging RINO asses would be jettisoned.
We’ll have to see.
It really don’t matter how they see this. They lost. And now they’re scared s**tless Trump’s coming back in ‘24. He’ll get my full support if that’s the case.
