The stunning admission by Gov. Cuomo’s top aide that the administration withheld the state’s nursing home death toll out of fear that the damning numbers would “be used against us” by the feds has sparked bipartisan calls for a thorough probe — and prosecution of the governor.

“Governor Cuomo, the Secretary to the Governor, and his senior team must be prosecuted immediately – both by the Attorney General of New York State and the U.S. Department of Justice,” Republican Rep. Elise Stefanik wrote in a statement.

“This bombshell admission of a coverup and the remarks by the Secretary to the Governor indicating intent to obstruct any federal investigation is a stunning and criminal abuse of power,” Stefanik continued.

While I have great respect for Rep. Scalise, I fear his hope for JUSTICE makes him a Pollyanna. How he can believe that Biden’s DOJ actually will investigate Cuomo is beyond comprehension. Instead, the powers that be will conclude that keeping the real death toll secret was Trump’s fault because Cuomo feared the numbers would be politicized to hurt the Biden campaign. Eventually, even if the Cuomo Administration is investigated, some faceless prosecutor will author a report finding that no one in the hierarchy had criminal intent and thus no crime was committed. Once again, we will be told “nothing to see here, move along.”

"Bipartisan" and "probe" in the same sentence. Each use of either word decreases its credibility by an order of magnitude.
