If I was AG Barr I would have blocked it, too. Chauvin shouldn't have even been charged, and should be exonerated on all counts.
Ruining an innocent man's life by holding a first-degree murder charge over his head to compel him to plead guilty to a lesser offense is an outrageous abuse of the criminal justice process.

Chauvin behaved badly there - and in a legal sense. Just not in the way that most claim. Certainly once Floyd’s pulse was lost, they should have moved to medical assistance rather than continuing to kneel on him.
And yes, the ridiculous overcharge and attempts to go so far beyond what can be justified is an outrageous abuse of the legal system.
