One day after Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban confirmed to ESPN that his team had stopped playing the national anthem before games, the NBA on Wednesday issued a statement saying that wouldn't be the case.
"With NBA teams now in the process of welcoming fans back into their arenas, all teams will play the national anthem in keeping with longstanding league policy," the league said in a statement.
Cuban on Tuesday told ESPN that he made the decision to stop playing the national anthem before home games after consulting with NBA commissioner Adam Silver. The Mavericks did not announce the change in policy, but the national anthem has not been played before any of their 13 preseason and regular-season games at the American Airlines Center this season.

The Deuce, you say! Sounds very jingoistic to me. I think the airline needs to change its name to something more inclusive and less blatantly nationalistic — which many find offensive.
Perhaps something like Columbia Airlines, or possibly Continental Airlines (not currently in use), or how about Global(ist) Airlines, or maybe Human Airlines — but not to disparage service animals (life-forms: “animals’ is so speceist), or maybe best is The Giant Silver Bird With Tail On Fire Airlines Yeah. That’s good.

Unless I am missing something did anyone stop to think that maybe he stopped playing it because his scumbag team knelt every time thus hemmoraging fans and revenue?
I haven’t seen a clear article on his explanation; only assumptions.
If Trump was Prez they would not have issued any such statement.
Playing the national anthem where it is not welcome is the same thing as casting pearls before swine. Better for patriotic, flag-loving Americans stay home and keep the arenas empty and broke.
