On a serious note - is it even possible to find a “peer-reviewed” paper espousing a contrarian opinion on a controversial topic in today’s political environment? The “peers” know on which side their bread is buttered, and science becomes just an empty concept.
You raise a good point, dissent in science is being stifled. Nonetheless, the claim here is that it is a peer reviewed paper, and it isn’t.
And the medical establishment’s refusal - for partisan political purposes - to endorse this and other effective treatment courses is one of the great murderous crimes in history.

Decided to look at the GP article. Saw that 934 Comments were listed. Was never able to get them to show themselves. I think the Comments are an important part of any article which is why I spend time at FR.
I was searching for possible results of 3 IV Vitamin C studies started in China last spring with results promised for last Sept. Have not yet found those results. Has anyone else found them? However I did encounter the link below regarding the successful saving of an elderly Covid sufferer, who appeared to be dying, by adding high Vitamin C to her other treatments. There is a lively discussion among 32 comments, some impressed and some not. Ideally the Zelenko and related ZINC based treatments should start ASAP, even before Covid test confirmation. However, slamming more severe symptoms of many illnesses with high Vitamin C usually can help and seldom can hurt.
Thirty years ago, based on my earlier readings of Cathcart and Klenner I may have saved a young woman from anaphylactic shock. At a large wilderness campout I had just arrived at the MASH tent and found unsuccessful efforts being made to help a young woman who had been stung by 3 yellow jackets in the neck. She had forgotten her bee allergy kit. Her body was swollen all over, her eyes swollen shut and she was desperately chocking. I immediately grabbed a jar of Vitamin C tablets, crushed 10 grams, disolved in water and was able to help her drink the glass of C. In 20 minutes her throat and eyes opened and the body swelling was shrinking. I then gave another 5 grams. After one hour we walked back to her tent, and I brought a lot of C with me. I spent a total of 8 hours with her giving 5 g. every hour. She then said she felt better and could judge when she needed more C which I left for her. I went to my tent and when I returned the next day was told she had pack up and walked the 3 miles to her car. Late Covid is generally due to an overactive immune response causing a “cytokine storm” or some other serious lung problem. Vitamin C is a normal protector of the lung, and it is unlikely to hurt to add a significant amount of C either desolved in water or IV if the lungs are in trouble, but check out Cathcart and others for more details. Eastern Virginia Medical School is also a good source. They have a two page protocol from Prophylaxis to severe hospitalization that you can show to your doctor. Google EVMS and you will find other longer more detailed protocols. One informs that Ivermectin is now accepted by MSM medicine as a suitable IONOPHORE, not tainted by the HCQ controversey.

As a healthy 82 year old who has practiced therapeutic nutrition for 50 years and in many ways is healthier than I was when I started, I read most of your long link with great interest. I agree with most of what it said about the use of vitamins and minerals. However, one thing I would suggest is that people continue to take a good Centrum Silver(R) type multi vitamin/mineral one daily tablet morning and evening as they continue to convalesce. Also tapering down from high vitamin C over a week to 10 days may be useful. Since I wanted to get this comment printed quickly I did not read the sections on hydrogen peroxide and Ozone as I have no experience with those methods. I did read recently that Beet Root powder assists with general wellness and has something to do with hydrogen peroxide or its effects. I have started taking BR powder and giving it to my partner and feel like I have more energy. I will go back to the link and read about the HP and Ozone and check other sources. The Iodine is interesting. I wonder if it is a virus killer like ZINC, or an IONOPHORE like Ivermectin, HCQ or Quercetin (available over the counter). I recently decided to get the dried seaweed at a nearby Japanese market to add to soup. With 97%+ of the US population deficient in Iodine, they suggest that part of Japan’s better results with Covid may be due in part to their seaweed consumption.
Whoever persuaded President Trump to stop mentioning Zinc after he and Mark Meadows were sent the cc of the March 23 letter by Dr Zelenko to physicians is surely guilty of hubris not to suggest studies that included the key VIRUS KILLER ZINC. The fact that on May 11, Dr. Fauci supported the NIH study of HCQ and Azithromycin because it was good to test low cost readily available on often used older drugs raises questions. Why did he subsequently push Gilead Sciences drug Remdesivir purportedly charging insurance around $3000 a treatment, compared with Dr. Zelenco’s 3 part protocol for $20 a treatment. Surely they must have showed him the March 23 letter as I heard him mention both HCQ and Zinc (only once). Why was the NIH test planned contrary to that letter. It used hospitalized patients instead of newly ill outpatients, NO zinc, instead of the ESSENTIAL VIRUS KILLER ZINC. Senator Ron Johnson recently held a hearing related to HCQ and suppressed treatments. Perhaps we should ask him to hold one on how and why this NIH and other studies were encouraged without ZINC and early treatment. As another FReeper said someone(s) is/are surely guilty of depraved indifference or even negligent homicide in ignoring a possible cure for the benefit of Big Pharma. Not to mention all the businesses hurt because there was not safe, mostly effective treatment made available to us all during most of last year.
If Gilead Sciences played a part in this it would not be surprising as they are already facing a class action for the HIV drug Truvada, Complera, and related. At the beginning of this century their drugs were used for HIV treatment but were found to cause serious bone and kidney issues among others. They quickly developed a safer version of these drugs, but waited around a decade to continue making money off the original drugs while the patents were good. Once they were off patent, they introduced the safer drug. Now I see ads urging victims to call lawyers to take part in a class action lawsuit. Probably anyone who has been seriously ill or lost a loved one to Covid-19 might have a righteous lawsuit for wrongful death. We just need the investigations to start.

Good to know about Vit C and insect stings.
I doubled my Vit C to 2000 mg (plus the multi vit 75 mg) a couple days ago due to constant drainage and coughing the past several days. It’s not helping but whatever.
Fauci and Gates were all about getting richer with their mRNA-1273 (now Moderna).
Try taking 1 or 2 grams every 4 to 6 hours. I have several allergies at different times a year plus house dust and have been taking 3 to 7 grams a day for many years. About a half hour before house cleaning (stirring up dust) I take 1 or 2 grams of C. Our bodies burn it up in about 6 hours, so I am always taking some 3 or 4 times a day. Whenever my nose gets congested I take some. Have not been sick with anything since 2016 when I had a Salmonela gut attack.
Am taking another. This drainage cough is ridiculous. Vacuumed this morning to get rid of dust and cat hair.
