I’m not so sure we have had such a clear case of the legislature claiming the power to determine constitutionality though.
Justice Roberts (of all people) said NO.. I’m not doing it because it’s unconstitutional.
Then the senate responds with “Screw it.. we will rule it constitutional, and do it anyway.

Yes! You are 100% right, these are violations. The same with them circumventing state legislatures and changing election laws to make ballot harvesting easier, clear violation of the constitution as only state legislatures have the power to change election laws as per the constitution, and yes the silence of SCOTUS is disgusting but they are compromised as well.

Very cautiously I say that may be good because it should force the supreme court to take decisive action to protect their turf.
Either they come down hard on the house members or they will have no relevance in the future.
