The gunman who killed a nurse and injured four other people inside of a Minnesota health clinic Tuesday had a vendetta against doctors because they refused to give him painkillers and had recently been given a permit for a legal firearm, a report said.
Gregory Ulrich, who killed at least one nurse at the Allina Health Clinic in Buffalo outside of Minneapolis, had a particular grudge against one doctor and even affixed a sign in front of his mobile home calling the professional a “quack,” former roommate Raymond Zastra told FOX 9.
“He didn’t like the doctors because they wouldn’t give him all the painkillers he wanted. They’d give him a month supply, and it would be gone in a few days,” Zastra, who lived with Ulrich in his trailer for two years until last July, told the outlet.
The former roommate said Ulrich was often high on painkillers and was seen sniffing glue, smoking marijuana, drinking excessively and would “just sit on the couch high.”

Buffalo shooting: Gunman opens fire inside Minnesota health clinic A year ago, Zastra said he saw a letter Ulrich received that granted him permission to carry a weapon, even though local cops “knew he was a wack job.”
“He showed me a new handgun he got, I said, ‘What?’ You shouldn’t have a gun,” the roomie recalled.
The Buffalo Police Department and the Wright County Sheriff’s Office both said Ulrich was well known to the department and “had a history of conflict” with incidents dating back to 2003.

Here we go again. Hey Beto.....
Do I have to look?
I would be okay with a law saying that no one living in a trailer park can buy a gun. :-)
Junkie thug who could not get his fix so he murders.
Actually, it doesn’t fit the usual profile.
He’s got George Soros eyes
If he’s using marijuana then he didn’t get a legal firearm.
The 4473 makes that clear.
“11.e. Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance?”
He lied. Committed a felony, by lying, the committed other felonies.
Yet the worthless press wants to blame the inanimate object.
The more you destroy societal trust in institutions, the more private violence you are going to get.
Another shooting by a person with mental/emotional issues. This is the problem that needs to be addressed more that gun control.
Gun control, gun control. As the media keeps ignoring what goes on daily in Chicago for years.
He was pissed because they wouldn’t give him all the drugs he wanted.
I say let’s give all the druggies all the drugs they could possibly want, for free.
But when they OD, no Narcan.
Too bad, so sad.
people with mental issues are now running the country...
I always wondered what happened to Dr. McCoy—he was trying to get the clinic to stop their primitive hacking at patients instead of using a tricorder, but no they wouldn’t listen...
:-)
its me, me, me...
and its just not young people or even poor people...its older people like this guy....
sure...if we go dystopian it should be free drugs, no narcan, no resuscitation.....
“GET OFF MY LAWN!”
What we know about the man arrested in the Buffalo clinic shooting...
BUFFALO, Minn. — Authorities said the man arrested following a shooting at a Buffalo, Minnesota clinic was known to law enforcement.
One person died in the shooting at the Allina Health Buffalo Crossroads Clinic on Tuesday. Four others were hospitalized.
Wright County Sheriff Sean Deringer identified the man arrested as Gregory Paul Ulrich, 67.
Ulrich had not yet been charged as of Tuesday afternoon, but the Wright County Attorney said he expected a criminal complaint would be filed by Thursday morning.
The KARE 11 Investigates team discovered court records that show Ulrich pleaded guilty in May 2019 to violation of a harassment restraining order connected to the clinic. That order mandated that Ulrich should have no contact with a doctor working at the Buffalo clinic, and that Ulrich was not allowed to enter the clinic or Buffalo Hospital unless transported by emergency personnel for emergency treatment.
However, the case was dismissed in April 2020 after the defendant was found “mentally incompetent to proceed.”
Court records also showed warnings from court officers that Ulrich should not be allowed to use or possess dangerous weapons; but records also show Ulrich applied for a permit to get a weapon in 2019. It’s still unclear if that permit was granted.
Ah, but it does.
