The Pentagon estimated Monday that it will cost American taxpayers $483 million to have National Guard troops protecting the Capitol through March 15.

Pentagon spokesman John Kirby estimated the cost at $284 million for personnel and $199 million for operations.

The National Guard troops are staying in place through former President Donald Trump's Senate impeachment trial, which starts on Capitol Hill Tuesday.

The deployment of these troops in D.C., along with the wall that was built around the Capitol, are nothing more than props for use during the impeachment trial. The mantra will be “Look at how we had to turn this city into an armed camp because of the threat posed by mean, evil Donald Trump.” Once this sham trial is over, the troops will go home and Pelosi’s wall will be taken down.

I guarantee you that the fence and barbed wire around the Capitol will NEVER be removed and that the National Guard will STILL be there a year from now.

They built this huge fence that goes for miles in about a day. They claim fences don’t work and they are “immoral” that is, unless it’s to protect THEIR sorry asses. They put razor wire all along the top so people wouldn’t climb over. Do they REALLY think that would stop those that intended to do harm? It would be easy enough just to cut right through it.
