The Pentagon estimated Monday that it will cost American taxpayers $483 million to have National Guard troops protecting the Capitol through March 15.
Pentagon spokesman John Kirby estimated the cost at $284 million for personnel and $199 million for operations.
The National Guard troops are staying in place through former President Donald Trump's Senate impeachment trial, which starts on Capitol Hill Tuesday.

No one is saying much over this ending, and in this next stimulus package passed...I suspect that some Capital Police bulk-up will be included, getting them from the present 2,000 in manpower to 4k to 5k in manpower. Until those folks are hired...I think some form of National Guard deployment will continue.
I personally hope that the Guard troopers found their way into hotel rooms because it’s stupid to have so many people on government per diem walking around so many hotels that accept government per diem and then have government retards deny that connection. That said, the people deployed have had a lot of reality thrown in their faces recently. Embrace them and make them feel welcomed when they get back home from a dumb deployment. It was stupid but they weren’t the reason it was stupid. Hearts and minds.
This would be fine as long as they get to take part in arresting all those responsible for this illegal trial.

I did a little googling to try and find a list of the NG units still deployed to DC. But, no luck. It does appear though that Texas has pulled its troops out and they’re back home now.
Did that include luxury accommodations in the parking garage or was that extra.
The neo-Marxists are crapping their pants that there might be another Capital invasion because they know Trumps immense popularity and what they are doing to him is complete and utter tyrannical BS.
Think of what they did: They removed one of the greatest Presidents in US history, a guy who set records in the economy and jobs, set fair trade deals, no wars, secure border, lightning fast beds, ventilators, after a deliberate viral terror attack, got us vaccines in record time and they replaced him with an idiot who is DELIBERATELY giving us record inflation, record high fuel costs, most likely record high unemployment, open borders - during a pandemic no less and they want to prevent the GOOD President from ever holding office again? I’m surprised that Capital isn’t being invaded every day!
They need to follow their oath of enlistment to first and foremost support and defend the constitution. What democrats are doing is completely unconstitutional and they know this! My friend is in the NG, he says they are actually being vetted because the Rats are afraid of that oath they took. The Rats KNOW they are violating the constitution and are concerned the guard may indeed arrest them. All I can says is DO IT! These are DOMESTIC ENEMIES of the USA who have commandeered our government, REMOVE them before they do anymore damage.
