Former President Barack Obama's ethics chief, Walter Shaub, ripped President Biden for publicly commenting on son Hunter's forthcoming memoir, likening it to a "book promotion tour."
"It is not acceptable for the President of the United States to be part of the book promotion tour. No," tweeted Shaub, a U.S. Office of Government Ethics former director under Obama. The tweet that was issued Sunday afternoon was deleted but not before the Washington Examiner viewed its contents.
Shaub also said it was "wonderful" that Hunter Biden, 51, was sharing his experience with addiction because it could help Hunter and other people fighting personal demons. But Shaub added the president's comments regarding the memoir, Beautiful Things, were ethically compromised. There appears to have been other tweets by Shaub in the past 24 hours knocking Biden for the comments about his son's book, but they were also erased.
Shaub worked under Obama in the Office of Government Ethics from 2013 to 2017, resigning after clashing with the Trump administration. When he was replaced, Shaub claimed former President Donald Trump would turn the United States into a “laughingstock” when it came to ethics.

When you steal an election and disenfranchise EVERY American as a result, chum up with the Communist Chinese, and take millions from the American tax payer all while destroying American lives...why would any verbiage by ANYBODY be of any concern to any Biden whatsoever?
You have just expressed a very obvious oxymoron - Democrat ethics. The two are mutual exclusives. You cannot be a Democrat and also be ethical, and you cannot live an ethical life and be converted the the present-day version of a Democrat.
No amount of double-think can span the chasm between the two concepts.

Hunter has been on a creepy, years-long binge of illicit money-scamming, hard drugs, and sex. As best I can tell, it might have ended (at least the drug part) about a year ago - at age 50. No, not the person who should be writing books to pass on wisdom. I can’t believe even a single, self-respecting person of right mind would purchase this book for any other reason than to funnel more illicit money to the creepy Biden clan.
Shaub is still working for Obama I see.

Unfortunately I disagree. I don’t think it’s especially uncommon. Sorry I don’t remember which, but one of the Clintons had a book with vast quantities bought up as a way to funnel money. These sleaziness of the Bidens is breathtaking. Hunter’s also-in-progress art gallery is going to be money laundering raised to a fine, you’ll excuse the pun, art.
