Trust me. This is a trial of the “guaranteed minimum income” that they want so badly to impose on us. When it fails, they will declare it a success and expand it.

that experts have projected could lift millions from poverty

A monthly $300 check will lift a family from poverty? Couldn’t one family member work 5 hours a week instead?

How about $3,600.00 each, per DAY, for 15 DAYS, just to flatten the curve?

*SPIT*

You all realize this is YOUR MONEY, RIGHT? Government produces NOTHING while looting your pockets for YOUR hard-earned cash to be re-distributed!

Wouldnt this funding essentially be paid for by the wealthy blue states? Why not let them do what they want, the wealthiest people on average are all democrats.
Poor red states actually make out at the fed level, receiving twice back what they send.

I asked my husband, retired after 1/2 century of hard work, saving, scrimping, not buying unnecessary stuff. Buying less house than we could afford. Driving old cars well past their prime. His is a 1990, mine is a 2012. Holding on to our old furniture and taking care of it. We have his folks old bedroom furniture from 1974, our daughter’s old bedroom furniture from 1987, etc. We have the tables we bought in 1988 in our living room. He keeps lawn mowers going way past prime, etc. Yet we never get any of the fed hand outs. I asked him why???? He said WE have to pay for them. It is crazy and evil. Retired people have bills, too! And heating gas bill is $250-$300 a month, propane. Where we lived before retirement it was max $50 or $60 a month in winter, $20 rest of year, natural gas. $3600 would pay for our heating bills!

They could write a check right now if they wanted, But a number of problems are in the way. To begin with, they’re throwing money around right now like a drunken sailor who is determined to stagger back to the ship dead broke.

Sooo, where is the money going to come from since they have damaged social security and medicare enough with Obama care alone that it will fold in the first five checks and they need to keep voters happy. And there isn’t enough companies left to tax or hidden slush funds they have not already depleted to even start to cover this little commitment. And as long as they pay the center for the arts or humanities as part of the covid commitment, that trough will be full but the town water will be gone. No one to carry water from the well. But by that time, these innovative politicians will find something else to sell like another innovative idea or impeach someone else and make the target sound like they are horned.

Never trust people with innovative ideas that makes them prosper more than you. And that’s all there is with liberal lifetime politicians. They prosper only by leaching off you. They don’t provide anything for you you can’t provide for yourself or that you can provide to yourself, setback. And they are very adequate at that too.

“Balance of payments” is an example. And as funds deplete, there’ll be less coming back to the states with the same going out. And right now, it is only 10 states that are supporting the other 40.

https://opportunitywa.org/study-washington-is-one-of-10-states-that-send-more-tax-dollars-to-d-c-than-they-receive-in-federal-spending/#:~:text=The%20difference%20is%20the%20balance,state%20receives%20in%20federal%20spending.&text=Some%20states%20receive%20far%20more,far%20more%20than%20they%20get.

And the other magic is when they print more money to protect the system which is their historical innovation. But paper and coin are only as good as the worth supply, which we determine to be gold, silver, and copper basically (and a little product trade like oil which Biden is destroying right now). So, since they are not increasing the worth the US has, they are inflating the dollar. And the carton of milk you bought yesterday for a dollar suddenly costs one dollar fifty to cover the inflation as they just changed the price of everything as the product didn’t change, the worth of it got less. But you still need the same size carton to survive. The innovative government will just give themselves a raise. Can you get one? And then they’ll be right back where they started and the “checks” don’t mean $hit because they just lost 50% of their worth which you’ll feel a little down the path. This is not the first time this has happened. Check the nineties catch phrase...”It’s the economy stupid! Half that statement was on target.

People have been known to borrow a kid or two to take to the welfare office to claim benefits. That dolt Romney seems to think this is a good idea; that it will encourage marriage. Wrong! It will encourage more illegitimate births.
