Only the “homies” again? I feel bad for the others who aren’t getting a good meal each day. I wonder if they have bubblers at University Lake to keep some open spots on the water. That would give the ducks a chance at getting some fish IF they have fish in that lake.

Did you and Gizmo have a good romp to work up an appetite for your KFC supper?

Yep, we need some prolonged frigid temps to kill off some of those suckers underground.

That reminds me - - this year’s supposed to be a biggie for the 17-year cicadas. Gonna be noisy when they wake up.

The cam op zoomed in nicely on it as it was taxiing before takeoff. The plane with those trees behind it just begged for a scap. LOL

I’d love to sit on Spotters Hill to watch one of those land or take off. It’s right along the edge of the runway. What a thrill.

Yuk. All I can hope for is that with the tiny bit of rain we had, they all baked underground and can’t get out. LOL! I can’t stand those nasty things.

I like them. Once in a while I get lucky enough to spot one working itself out of its pupae skin and will watch it. Nature can be fascinating.

I also like to bring in the empty skins to freak out the cats. LOL

We had a great supper from KFC yesterday.

It was cloudy but a nice day nonetheless.

It looks like you had a much prettier day than we had. It was cloudy all day and still is. We’re SUPPOSED to have sunshine later today but we’ll see.

Be glad the current cold wave didn’t dive down as far as your area. It’s 8 degrees in the Wichita, KS area right now. I watch an owl nest there.
I hope the cold wave later this week isn’t that cold for y’all. BRRRRRRRRRR

It's a beautiful spring day here.
Too bad it's the first week of February.
Supposed to get up to 74 today.
...and 76 and 78 the next two days.
Then back into "almost winter" that we've had.
