Count me as one who believes that the impeachment trial against former President Trump is an unconstitutional bill of attainder against a private citizen. Still, the proceeding is going to play out and it appears that Trump’s attorneys are going to fight hard. One of their plans in a case charging President Trump with inciting violence is to play for the Senate all the footage of Democrats inciting violence in 2020.
The problem for the Democrats going into the trial is one of evidence. The evidence against Trump isn’t just slim, it’s non-existent. The FBI has admitted that what happened at the Capitol was planned long before January 6. The planning did not involve Trump. There’s also evidence that the FBI knew about the plan against the Capitol in advance, but that the FBI, the Capitol Police, and the Democrats in charge of Congress did nothing with that information.
Uncontroverted evidence shows that Trump was still speaking when events began to play out at the Capitol. At that point, Trump had not yet asked his supporters at the vast Stop the Steal rally to peaceably go to the Capitol and cheer on Republican senators who were trying to get a hearing for election fraud claims. Frankly, Biden’s presidency would be a lot more stable, and Democrats a lot less paranoid, if they’d had that hearing and proven that there was no basis for the many fraud claims.
We also know now that Antifa was involved in the event and may even have been handing out weapons. Indeed, there were multiple non-Trump-supporters at the Capitol. This lends more credence to the theory that the whole rally was intended as a false flag operation to discredit Trump and his supporters.

One thing PDJT could do is just ignore it, not show up. Let the basturds “convict” him in abstentia, if they really want to accentuate their lawlessness.
(As this kind of extreme DNC Demo/Commie/Nazi harassment is unprecedented in recent American history, I really do not know what would be PDJT’s best approach regarding it. Knowing as little as I admittedly do from afar, I’d tend to just tell them to shove it up where the sun don’t shine, and go play a few rounds of golf, then clean up and rebuild the R party (or start a much better new one, again I do not know what is possible and which would be best.. but I’ll applaud whichever he choose to do. Our republic and our individual liberties are in grave danger without an effective and cleaned up political party ...)
That's a lie, Liz Cheney says so. And politicians don't lie, so there is no argument.
The Dems moving towards a trial is senseless unless the only motivation is blind hatred and fear.
Senators on both sides won’t allow him to produce any evidence
Liz knows that the President in exile gave a dog whistle to the crowd, encouraging everyone to storm the Capitol and scream “Allahu Akbar” as they sliced and diced everyone in sight with machetes.
If only the crowd had picked up on this subliminal message, the event might have remained “mostly peaceful”.

Maybe, just maybe, some day the Democrats will learn they should not open a can of worms unless they are ready to live with the infestation.
Worms can be deucedly hard to eliminate entirely.

Lots of fake everything so coming up with fake evidence is easy for the left to do. Like the Russia collusion there doesn’t have to be any actual evidence all they have to do is say there is and then convict.
The Constitution is irrelevant to them as well and only becomes relevant when it suits them.

1) Call out Harris for not being a Natural Born Citizen as defined in Sen. Resolution 511 (2007). Neither of her parents were ‘... American citizen parents’ at her birth.
2) Call out Obama for not being a Natural Born Citizen and remove the 44th President from history.
3) Have the FEC de-certify the Democrat National Committee as an on-going criminal enterprise for proposing unqualified candidates in past elections. Overnite all the (D)s become (I)s.
4) Challenge the seats of all members of Congress who voted to certify Gropin’ Joe and Kamalatoes and remove the ones elected in fraud-ridden elections.
5) Put up a ‘Help Wanted’ with the thought of firing and replacing 2/3 of all non-military federal workers. That would include the entire FBI, and the arrest of all CIA operatives found stateside.
