Huge day for vaccinations, slow day for supply (eating into the inventory that was reserved for second shots).
They are going to need to get new vaccines approved to continue increasing the administration rate. Over 2 million shots given today. We could probably ramp up to 3 million per day, if the supply kept up.
By the numbers, it looks like 25% of those needing to be vaccinated has been accomplished. Thanks to President Trump and his warp speed plan.

With about 1.3 million residents, and staff/support running about two for every resident (on average), first shots are basically done for this vulnerable segment of the population.
By the end of February, they should be off the table as a COVID issue. They already have significant immunity developed - a huge change from a couple of months back.
Long-Term Care residents accounted for over 40% of COVID fatalities. That is now coming to a rapid end.
Have the vaccine manufacturers ever stated what quantity of vaccine they could produce on a sustained basis?
I did a quick calculation: Even assuming very light LTC fatalities in the unresolved cases out there, COVID-19 in (essentially) a year took out 15% of all LTC residents.
I wonder what the excess fatalities percentages look like for LTC residents. Or what happened to “remaining days of life expectancy” for LTC residents.

If I recall correctly, a few of the manufacturers (including AstraZeneca, Pfizer and J&J, probably Moderna) said they planned to produce a billion doses, worldwide, in 2021 (some require two doses), but I have not heard what their peak production rates will likely be. But much of that is for outside of the USA.
Pfizer and Moderna have said that they would be able to meet their Defense Procurement Act (DPA) contracts with the US Government (initially 100 million doses each).
Pfizer got a second contract in DPA December, that brings their total to 200 million doses, by the end of July (170 million by the end of June). Moderna also got a second contract in December, that brings their total to 200 million by the end of June.
Other DPA contracts were also awarded under Operation Warp Speed (including 100 million fro J&J and 300 million to AstraZeneca), but their delivery will depend on getting Emergency Use Authorization (EUA).
Last month, J&J said their production was behind schedule, but should catch up by the end of April. Their original commitment was for 12 million by the end of February, and 100 million by the end of June. Their EUA is expected at the end of February.
AstraZeneca is having production problems in its European facilities, but the technology that they (and J&J) use allows manufacturing to ramp up more quickly than the mRNA vaccines (although mRNA development can be blazingly quick - over the weekend). Their EUA is expected in April.
I have not seen what I would consider reliable stats on mortality in LTC facilities, like you discuss. Reporting/accounting seems inconsistent.
The AG of NewYork recently accusedNY State of being off by 50% in their reporting. Also, there is the difficult accounting issue of dying “with” COVID, rather than “from” it.
Answer me this question:

In my opinion, they are more concerned with consolidating political power, then what the probably rationalize as a “marginal” difference in COVID rates.

I have talked to medical folks, people who I know personally, who have experienced first hand a high volume of COVID patients - and seen many struggle to breathe and die.
Many countries on Earth have the ability to independently identify the COVID-19 virus, as well as many independent organizations and individuals.
Clearly, there is such a virus. It, itself, is not a lie.
It has been highly politicized, but it is a real phenomenon.
