Support for Socialism in America Sinks Like a Stone After 2020 Election, Hits Lowest Level in Years According to New Study

Think the 2020 election got us one step closer to socialism in the United States? Think again, according to a new post-election survey.

In a Wednesday news release, the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University revealed only 32 percent of American adults said they preferred socialism to capitalism in the aftermath of the presidential election last fall. In a survey taken in early 2018, that number was 41 percent.

“According to the survey conducted by CRC Director of Research Dr. George Barna, the 9 percentage-point decline among U.S. adults since 2018 represents more than 20 million fewer individuals preferring socialism over capitalism,” the news release read.

“A two-thirds majority (68%) said they prefer capitalism to socialism (more than 170 million adults). Still, the fact that one-third — about 80 million Americans — prefer socialism is significant, despite the overall decline in support for socialism nationwide.

“According to the survey, those with a biblical worldview, specifically ‘integrated disciples’ and SAGE Cons (i.e., Spiritually Active Governance Engaged Conservative Christians), expressed the least support for socialism — only 12%.”

Younger Americans under 30, unsurprisingly, were the most supportive of socialism, but even they showed a reduction in support for the worldview in just two-and-a-half years.

While 48 percent of under-30s supported socialism in 2018, only 43 percent supported it after the 2020 election.

However, this cut across age demographics, with ages 30 to 49 evincing a 15-point drop in support (49 percent to 34 percent) and 50-plus Americans only supporting socialism at 23 percent, compared to 30 percent in 2018.

There are some limitations to the survey that go beyond the fact it was conducted by a Christian organization — something that’ll no doubt get seized upon by media organizations when and if they cover the survey at all.

Will of the people?

What does that have to do with anything?

If you believed in socialism on any level, you’re an idiot who needed his death camp.

I asked a dumb liberal what they liked about socialism, And got the usual stupidity about how it was nice and fair to people.

Then there’s a test online to tell you which party you should belong to. She scored high “libertarian”

No matter what I did I Could not convince her that Socialism was the opposite of libertarian, which more closely resembles conservatism.

This is why the socialist invented the term “useful idiots” for their Old supporters

Dinesh D’Souza had it so right. The only place socialism/communism works is the nuclear family. I am willing to work for the collective good for my family with no reservation. My willingness to do this beyond them quickly dissipates.

You can easily vote your way into Socialism, but you must shoot your way out.

Extending out from the nuclear family a bit, it “works” for a little longer in small, homogeneous populations with a long history of social cooperation that was required to keep from everyone freezing/starving to death. Even that arrangement has its limits.

Exactly. Start mixing is “diversity” in the culture..and it starts to become unworkable.

I can see that. Like an old-fashioned village in Asia. But it burns me up to see these doofus hipsters espouse how we should work for the collective good. What they really mean is that I work and they collect.

I learned all I needed to know about socialism as a young skull full of mush when I worked as a go fer at a parts store one summer. One of our regular customers was the local go to guy when it came to German cars. I only knew him by his nickname, Sputnik. We called him that because years earlier he, his wife and then newborn son escaped E Berlin just as the wall was going up. If socialism is such an ideal utopian paradise of sunshine lollipops and everything wonderful why was that damn wall built in the first place? One brainless millennial told me because that was a dictatorship. Well, no 💩 Sherlock! He unwittingly admitted what inevitably happens in a socialist society.

Clearly the brainless Millennial you encountered never read “Road to Serfdom” that was based on the premise that the logical end to true socialism is totalitarianism and dictatorship. Hayek dismissed the stupid idea that “communism would work if only given chance ina free society” in 1943. That hasn’t stopped commies from using this brain-dead idea since though.

Or like in Sweden, Norway, and Denmark. Bring in diversity, and the whole thing breaks down.

Those hipster idiots make up a relatively small amount of the Left’s base, though a sizeable chunk of their activists. For every one of them, there are at least two Manuel’s and Consuela’s who have no qualms at all about getting some free stuff. More come every day.

It was either the Pilgrims or the Puritans who set up a socialist collective. After reaching the point of starvation, they gave every family a plot of land and free trade rights and survived. Or maybe I'm thinking of Jamestown.

The Pilgrims tried some form of communal living and it almost wiped them out. It’s also been tried by Native tribes, as well as a few tribes in Africa and some Australian Aboriginal people with similar dismal results. The Isaeli Kibbutzim worked to some extent, one of the founders of the first kibbutz in the late 1940s told Time magazine” we’re socialists by choice”, but even those are falling out of favor.

I believe that was the Pilgrims. Rush has been giving that history lesson around Thanksgiving for 30 years at least.

Exactly! This is why I compare socialism/marxism/communism to those same old sleazy get rich quick scams pushed as new ways to achieve instant wealth. Like buying real estate with no $$$ down. Or how any schmuck can easily make a killing in stocks regardless of market conditions. Or investing thousands in the latest snake oil while “easily” building a downline and collect residual income or some other unworkable mathematically impossible MLM/pyramid racket. They’ll tell you other systems failed because they were implemented wrong but they have a proven system that works. Those 4 deadly words, THIS TIME IT’S DIFFERENT! And like the red diaper doper babies and hippies that came before them so many millennials far for this crap like so many brainwashed little puppies.

Yeah? So what?

Our voices were stolen by fake ballots and rigged machines. They don’t care that you don’t like it. Millions of Eastern Europeans hated socialism too.

The problem with socialism is you can vote it in - but you can’t vote it out. To get out of a commie hellhole you have to risk your life to escape.

To get your country back from commie thugs is almost impossible.

The key is never to vote the monsters in... They over promise knowingly - take advantage of gullibility... And it always ends in loss of freedom, life, and almost anything worth living for...
