Hours after news broke that Fox News cancelled Lou Dobbs’ Fox Business Network show, Dobbs was active on Twitter thanking people defending him, and retweeting some people taking shots at the network.
In a statement provided to Mediaite on the cancellation, Fox News said, “As we said in October, FOX News Media regularly considers programming changes and plans have been in place to launch new formats as appropriate post-election, including on FOX Business – this is part of those planned changes. A new 5PM program will be announced in the near future.”
The news of Lou Dobbs Tonight being cancelled came just one day after Smartmatic filed a lawsuit against Fox and several hosts, including Dobbs. Fox responded to the lawsuit saying, “FOX News Media is committed to providing the full context of every story with in-depth reporting and clear opinion. We are proud of our 2020 election coverage and will vigorously defend against this meritless lawsuit in court.”
Dobbs took to Twitter later retweeting posts from people praising him and criticizing the cancellation, including Donald Trump himself:

Proud? You called Arizona when 10% of the vote was in. You lost 75% of your audience! Fired one of your main talent draws. And now 3rd place in the ratings, and consideredd a joke in the industry, with your leftest buddys trying to have you taken off cable.

As a “Conservative Darling,” Lou Dobbs is too precious to lose. We can’t just toss him on the ash heap of history.
So who will pick up Lou, at a salary he deserves? Do we have a Conservative news outlet with deep enough pockets to keep him?
Do we have a Conservative outlet? Why not?
They're not doing very well in that regard today. Slowern' molasses in January, some sections (naturally, my favorites) don't open at all.
It might be the buzz that President Trump has signed up, and they're seeing another crush of new visitors.
But sheesh, they'd better get their act together.
They are so proud of their coverage that they fired Chris Stirewalt, politics editor who headed up their election decision desk, and Bill Sammon, who was the DC bureau chief.

Lou should guest host on Rush. If he is a good fit, perhaps Rush could mentor Lou as his replacement when Rush retires...
But the left Cavuto and Wallace in place along with Sandra Smith. the worst of the worst. Then there are the commentators, Brazile and Williams.
Except for Tucker, I gave-up FoxNews months ago.

He was one of the good guys, too bad Fox wants to be like CNN.

Want to take bets n How long “Tucker” will last at the New Fox.News? By bet he will be charged with a “Sex Crime” and banned from the airways by April, Hannity by May. The Purge is about to happen. Hannity will be moving to Texas in the near future, and so will many others, The new Free America Network is coming, mark my words.
Considering he's put Fox on the hook as part of a $2.7 billion lawsuit then he's lucky it's only cancel. I'm sure Fox would draw and quarter him if they could.
WHEN are wealthy Conservatives going to step up and buy a TV news channel?????? Limbaugh, Trump and other wealthy people can do this. I’m sick of the Maoists being able to cancel us at every opportunity, we need our own infrastructure!
None of this matters, I don’t watch FOX Business. But I do hope they get sued to the hilt! BODs & management has screwed this COMPANY.
Never-Trumper Cavuto is the top VP at Fox Business, so may have had something to do with the firing of Dobbs.
Seems that gay judge Napolitano was also let go by FNC.
Tarlov and Harf need to go, as well as Arthel N., Kurtz, Wallace and Cavuto.
