Hours after news broke that Fox News cancelled Lou Dobbs’ Fox Business Network show, Dobbs was active on Twitter thanking people defending him, and retweeting some people taking shots at the network.
In a statement provided to Mediaite on the cancellation, Fox News said, “As we said in October, FOX News Media regularly considers programming changes and plans have been in place to launch new formats as appropriate post-election, including on FOX Business – this is part of those planned changes. A new 5PM program will be announced in the near future.”
The news of Lou Dobbs Tonight being cancelled came just one day after Smartmatic filed a lawsuit against Fox and several hosts, including Dobbs. Fox responded to the lawsuit saying, “FOX News Media is committed to providing the full context of every story with in-depth reporting and clear opinion. We are proud of our 2020 election coverage and will vigorously defend against this meritless lawsuit in court.”
Dobbs took to Twitter later retweeting posts from people praising him and criticizing the cancellation, including Donald Trump himself:

Fox meets the ‘cancel culture’. Again.
Maybe he pops up elsewhere but at age 75, I would not blame him for taking a nice well deserved retirement.

Trump is not gone from twitter as long as people on twitter post his statements.
Yet some people are still unable to break the chains of the political jiu jitsu Faux offers up. I’m not sure who is more damaged, the Fox viewers or the CNN viewers.
Trump just posted on GAB, he may not give a rat's ass about twitter.
Well have to wait and see how the public reacts to GAB and if GAB can stay up on the net.
Nothing would be better than to de-ball both jack and the zuck via competition.
I have to agree. This has no impact on me as I've been completely done with Faux since the election. I have less respect for a turncoat than I do for a clear, sworn enemy.
Lou was the best! He was MAGA before MAGA was cool. When he was on CNN he was continuously trashing GWB because we were losing thousands of jobs to China and blowing the whistle on illegal immigration. Turns out Lou was right on all counts. I will forever love him for being the one to bring these issues to the forefront.
What I’d seen of Dobbs was odd but he was steadfast in supporting President Trump.
He would have some difficulty formulating a question and would drone on and on and on to the point where you’d wonder why a guest was appearing at all.
But this is to be expected, the guy is up in years and Fox is now in the globalist orbit intent on destroying the movement President Trump has led.
The Murdoch kids’ wives are considered a force with Paul Ryan in leading the charge to undo and destroy MAGA.
Lou had to go and the big tell will be with Maria Bartiromo who is one of the best on air news anchors I’ve ever seen. She is succinct, focused and powerful in her questions. She was all over SpyGate and gave voice to highlighting the fraud of the Russia Collusion Hoax.
It is with great delight we have the undaunted, intrepid, clear speaking, Tray Gowdy filling Prime Time on Fox this week....We hope he is given that spot.
Don’t get mad Lou, get even! He should do a new show in the same time slot as his old Fox show, just to decimate his replacement’s ratings.
Maria has committed the unpardonable sin (talking about the steal) too many times like Lou and would not surprise me if she’s up next.
Wow. 1st I’ve heard. I thought his show got fairly decent ratings.

On his radio spots he always referred to the “China Flu” to tweak the snowflakes.
