President Biden on Thursday formally withdrew Judy Shelton's nomination to the Federal Reserve Board, closing the book on her quest to join the central bank.
Shelton's nomination was withdrawn with more than two dozen other officials nominated by former President Trump in January shortly before he left office.
The Democratic takeover of the Senate in January effectively ended Shelton's chances of confirmation, and Biden's withdrawal of her nomination does little more than clear the way for his eventual pick to fill the final vacant spot on the Fed board.
Biden has not yet indicated who he would nominate in Shelton's place.

Someone for the love of God tell Biden there is no Federal Reserve. It was dissolved and folded into the Treasury Department last year.

The seven members of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System are nominated by the President and confirmed by the Senate. A full term is fourteen years. One term begins every two years, on February 1 of even-numbered years. A member who serves a full term may not be reappointed. A member who completes an unexpired portion of a term may be reappointed. All terms end on their statutory date regardless of the date on which the member is sworn into office.
The Chairman and the Vice Chairman of the Board are named by the President from among the members and are confirmed by the Senate. They serve a term of four years. A member’s term on the Board is not affected by his or her status as Chairman or Vice Chairman.

I got news for you. You know when a cicada sheds its exoskeleton and you see it sitting on a branch? That’s the Federal Reserve. Its an empty shell. Trump just hasn’t put it in the lawn bag yet. In the last four years Trump has built a new financial platform for the roll out of the quantum currency which will be backed by gold,silver and platinum. Its going to be incredible.
Probably not Biden but his string puller Obama knows what’s what. The reason they are trying to make Yelled the head of Treasury is because she used to be the Fed chair and they are hoping she can figure out how to salvage the Fed.
