As the Biden administration moves to suspend oil and gas leasing on federal land — and has canceled the Keystone XL oil Pipeline — the state of Washington may soon outlaw gasoline cars by 2030.
House Bill 1204 in the Washington state legislature was introduced by both houses on Jan. 14 and a public hearing took place on Feb. 1. The bill, co-sponsored by state Democratic Reps. Nicole Macri, Marcus Riccelli, Joe Fitzgibbon, and more than two dozen others, would effectively require all newly sold vehicles in the state to be electric. Vehicles that would not be affected by “Clean Cars 2030” would be emergency vehicles, hydrogen-powered vehicles, and vehicles that weigh more than 10,000 pounds.

Make them live under their own rules. No gas-powered anything for them. I live in NM, a state rich with oil and gas. They have shut down natural gas plants in the NW part of the state supplying electricity and have touted their own version of the green new deal. ID10Ts the lot of them.

Well, don’t you just plug in the car? Electricity comes from the outlet in the wall. They don’t understand that electricity has to be generated in a power plant somewhere to be available in your electrical outlet.
The irony is that in many parts of the country , an evil coal fired power plant generates their electricity.
Wait untill they find out Lithium doesn’t grow on treees and is needed to treat some of their Psychiatric disorders.

Lots of luck developing a wide application of human-powered vehicles. I am sure almost nobody is going back to horse-drawn transport. Just think, the world would would be engulfed with horse manure.
