“House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) on Wednesday gave a clear-cut condemnation of embattled Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s (R-GA) past comments but accused House Democrats of dismissing his leadership in pursuit of unproductive action against the freshman congresswoman.
McCarthy said in a statement that he met with Greene and expressed to her “unequivocally” that he condemns views she espoused prior to joining Congress, including about school shootings, political violence, and antisemitic conspiracy theories. The GOP leader said Greene was receptive and that he intends to hold her accountable now that she is under his purview in the House.“

I am Jewish, Rep. Greene has not uttered ONE SINGLE WORD of anti-Semitism. It is a despicable smear. Ilhan Omar is a vile anti-Semite and the GOP hasn’t shown 10% of this kind of outrage against her. Mitch McConnell has not even MENTIONED Omar even once...yet has castigated Greene for things she said —and didn;t even say — BEFORE her election. The GOP is pond scum.
McCarthy isn’t any better than Paul Ryan, IMHO.
