Education secretary nominee Miguel Cardona appears for confirmation hearing and answers questions from Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky.
“If you’re confirmed, will you enforce that Office of Civil Rights opinion?” Paul wondered.
“I understand that there are a lot of concerns about that. If confirmed, it’s my responsibility and my privilege to make sure that we’re following civil rights of all students, and that includes activities that they may engage in in high school or athletics,” Cardona replied.
Paul then asked, “What do you think in general of boys running in girls’ track meets like they’ve been doing in Connecticut?” — “Do you worry about having boys run in girls’ track meets?”
“I think it’s appropriate – I think it’s the legal responsibility for schools to provide opportunities for students to participate in activities and this includes students who are transgender,” Cardona said.
Paul, pressed, “So you don’t have a problem then, of boys running in the girls’ track meets, swimming meets, you name it, you’re OK then with boys competing with girls?”
“Respectfully, senator, I believe I answered the question,” Cardona scoffed.
“I think the fact that you seem to be afraid to answer the question, or you basically do answer the question by saying it’s OK without saying it’s OK, really is a statement to real problem we have and a disconnect between middle America and what most Americans actually believe,” Paul said.
“Who are these people that think it’s okay? From what planet are you from?”

There will be no more girls athletic scholarships (or female state championships) the minute ONE boy in every sport, in every state, decides to join the female sports team.
High school and college.
It won’t even take that many boys doing it. Maybe 10 boys per state? (How many sports are there?) And the schools can’t refuse, or they will lose funding.
And just like that, girls and womens sports are gone.
There are a certain number of parents and sub par male students who have figured out they can get a lot of scholarships reserved for high school girls if they just say they are girls. Nobody will dispute them. Nobody will argue. Nobody will deny them a scholarship. That’s how crazy it is.
This guy reminds me of the cigarette executives testifying in Congress one after another that smoking was safe, when they knew damn well it wasn’t so, and so did everyone watching them lie on national TV. Or, like Baghdad Bob, take your pick.

College scholarships will no longer be forthcoming to real HS girl athletes in the near future.

I remember when Rhonda Rousey was “unbeatable”. Many were trying to say she could beat a man. A pro fighter of the same size could kill her...easy. Not even a good one, just any man.

Trump got millions of female votes. And most married people of both genders (I think)—many with female athlete kids—voted for Trump. Many dads who voted for Trump will watch their daughters be denied state championships and college scholarships.
So don’t say “Time to Reap it”—these minor athletes (high school and younger anyway) can’t vote. Someone needs to be their voice.

The only reason women obtain scholarships is to fill the ranks of women's college sports, which themselves are not the result of actual demand, but of Title IX, which is a federal civil rights law of America that prohibits sex-based discrimination in any school or other education program that receives federal money.
So the federal government required colleges to provide sports for women, now they are destroying sports for women. The general public is not at all interested on women's sports. Female athletes are inferior to male athletes
