House Republicans are gearing up for a referendum on Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney’s role in leadership this week after she supported Democrats’ rushed second impeachment of former President Donald Trump.
Cheney ignited backlash from her own party three weeks ago when she announced her support for Democrats’ plan to remove the outgoing president days before the end of his term. The three-term Wyoming congresswoman claimed her choice to indict the president whose restrained foreign policy approach she frequently opposed was a “vote of conscience.”
The timing of her move on the eve of the vote hurt members of the caucus she ostensibly leads, according to many members. They also cited the extreme rhetoric she used in pushing for Trump’s removal from office.
“The president of the United States summoned this mob, assembled the mob, and lit the flame of this attack,” Cheney claimed of the Jan. 6 Capitol riots in a statement frequently quoted by Democrats and the media. “Everything that followed was his doing.”

more than enough to outnumber the Dem cheating machine
...and the question will remain unanswered at least until the next election when the two illegals will be up again. Don’t exactly know in the case of the Senator when the term of the special election ends.
I have a feeling Liz’s interest in trying to impeach Trump has to do with her Dad Dick’s past sins that may be coming home to roost on him very soon.
The cheating machine in GA is run by Republicans, Gov. SOS Lt Gov and AG
If they don't remove her for this incendiary lie then she will ignite a firestorm and incite an overthrow and insurrection of the GOP party.
Any of you with Republican Representatives, call them and urge support for ousting this legacy neocon deep stater.
It would be a Hail Mary but I think a case could be made that the way congress has organized itself is unconstitutional because now some citizens have more representation than others.
Look, Mitt votes with us at times.
If he changes to the Democrat party he will never vote with
us.
Until we can primary the guy, it’s best to take his few good
votes and consider ourselves lucky.
I detest the guy as much as you do. I’m thinking
strategically.
Good article!!
I’m with you...but there are FAR TOO MANY people on our side who think Romney is no worse than a Democrat...no matter what you tell them (especially regarding his votes for judges).
They never deserved the freedom they had...since they supported its destruction at the hands of the Democrats (by listening to Lin Wood and boycotting Georgia, for example). Now they can stew in the results they fostered on this country...while I continue my plans to move out of the US, for good.
Yeah, I understand.
It’s a mess alright.
