They will hold a trial and any witnesses for Trump will be prevented from revealing evidence. This trial will be tightly controlled.
The only question is, how many Republicans will vote to convict?
They would have to be complete idiots to vote against the man who got more GOP votes than anyone in history. So the answer to your question is 1. Mitt Romney.
“They will hold a trial and any witnesses for Trump will be prevented from revealing evidence. This trial will be tightly controlled”
Trumps lawyers are probably full
aware of this, which is why they
would be asking for a dismissal.
The Rats aren’t going to let the
truth come out.
That we should expect.
IMO, the only reason Team Trump is referring to this event as a "trial" and using terms such as "dismissal", "acquittal", "evidence" etc., is because they know they have the votes to prevail.
Otherwise, it is a "court" without either authority, a judge or personal jurisdiction, presided over by a political hack of a bogus "prosecutor". (Even without the votes I do not believe the results of this hearing would disqualify Trump from running again; unless, of course, the USSC is effectively expanded by Biden-Harris.)
Who would willingly agree to play in a rigged card game unless they knew they could win?
Winning in this case will be walking away after demonstrating the behavior and incompetency of the Socialist Dems. Let them deny Trump an effective or complete defense, let them conduct a show trial, it will serve a good purpose.
