The same media that never tired of questioning Christian support for Trump now rejoices in the corruption of Christianity under Biden. Christians who supported Trump had sold their souls for political gain, the media told us. Reporters churned out endless stories browbeating Christians for giving hypocritical support to that “coarse” libertine. But “progressive Christians” receive no such lectures, even as they discard their faith for the sake of advancing Biden’s libertine politics.
Trump-supporting Christians at least had a religious motive for their choices. They saw Trump as a Constantine-like figure who would serve as a buffer against an increasingly aggressive secularist Left. That proved a prudent judgment. Trump was the most reliable defender of religious freedom since Ronald Reagan. But what is the religious motive for supporting Biden? There isn’t one. Much of his agenda is baldly un-Christian, and he has no intention of protecting religious freedom. The Christians who support him do so for purely political reasons. They prioritize left-wing politics over Christianity.
The media heartily approves of that Faustian bargain. Elite journalists would like to see Christianity entirely reduced to left-wing politics.

I am wondering where the liberal Christians are coming from? All of the mainline Protestant denominations are in steep decline and the smaller ones are likely to be defunct within a couple of decades. The United Methodist Church is about to split. The two big fish are evangelicals and Roman Catholics, which have some liberal leaders and members.
I don’t doubt that “liberal Christianity” is being promoted, but I just wonder if isn’t more of a media creation. Without Biden in the White House, who would be talking about its ascent?

AKA liars deceived by satan. I am not much of a “bible thumper” or evangelical christian. But perhaps it was just providence today I heard a lecture that Satan has NO POWER. He can only deceive. Yet so many welcome the deception. I am reminded of a scene in Conan the Barbarian when Thulsa Doom commands a virgin to jump to her death with a mere wave of his hand. After she falls to her death he grasps his hand in a fist and explains to Conan, “THAT is power!”
I welcome an evangelical perspective because I just figuring this all out.

Satan’s only real power is lies.
If he can get you to believe his lies over the Truth of God found in His word, he can get you to disobey God.
Spiritual warfare is not a power struggle, as Satan has already been defeated, but a battle for the Truth. He only has the power over you that you let him have.

Remember, the same socialists who emerged in the 60’s revolution and began infiltrating government, education, academia, etc. also infiltrated mainstream Christian denominations. They run the show now in every case.

At least some good Orthodox priests advice the faithful not to read these blogs. They are right!!!!
