RNC chairwoman expresses regret over Giuliani news conference
The Hill ^ | 1 Feb 21 | JOHN BOWDEN

The chairwoman of the Republican National Committee (RNC), Ronna Romney McDaniel, said in a new interview that she regrets letting former President Trump's lawyers, namely Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell, spread unproven claims about the 2020 election from the organization's headquarters.

Speaking with The New York Times, McDaniel indicated she thought it had been a mistake to allow Giuliani and Powell to make the claims about election rigging days after the vote at the RNC's headquarters in Washington, D.C.

“When I saw some of the things Sidney was saying, without proof, I certainly was concerned it was happening in my building,” McDaniel told the newspaper. “There are a whole host of issues we had to deal with — what is the liability of the RNC, if these allegations are made and unfounded?”

During the Nov. 19 press conference at the RNC headquarters, lawyers for the former president including Powell and Giuliani claimed that Democrats had organized around the country to steal hundreds of thousands of votes in key battleground states including Michigan, Pennsylvania and Georgia.

McConnell says Taylor Greene's embrace of conspiracy theories a '... Trump's new PAC raised millions as he sought to overturn election... "This was not an individual idea of 10 or 12 Democrat bosses. This was a plan. You would have to be a fool not to realize that," Giuliani said at the news conference, during which dark liquid ran down his face.

McDaniel in the new interview also offered thoughts about the GOP civil war between moderates who wish to break away from the former president and supporters of Trump, who have blamed the GOP at large for failing to remain loyal.

“If you have a family dispute, don’t go on ‘Jerry Springer,’” McDaniel said. “Do it behind closed doors. It’s my role to call them and explain that if we don’t keep our party united and focused on 2022, we will lose. If we are attacking fellow Republicans and cancel culture within our own party, it is not helpful to winning majorities.”

Ronna McDaniel
Ronna Romney McDaniel (born March 20, 1973) is an American political strategist serving as Chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC) since 2017. A member of the Republican Party and the Romney family, she was Chair of the Michigan Republican Party from 2015 to 2017.

A granddaughter of Michigan Governor and businessman George W. Romney and niece of U.S. Senator Mitt Romney, as RNC Chair, she has been known for her prolific fundraising and staunch support for President Donald Trump.

From Wikipedia. I didn't know she was a Romney. She's been talking to Uncle Mittens.

And “our side” let it die. T.S. Eliot was right:

Not with a bang, but a whimper.

This is why Trump needs to create a new party.

The GOP is broken beyond repair. It is just democrat light now, and filled with entrenched bureaucrats.

There is currently 25% of the country registered GOP.
If my math is correct that’s about 80 million people.

Is trump where to form a new party he’d have at least 70 million overnight. The GOP party would be dead.

And if we didn’t allow any current GOP party members or officeholders in the party we would wipe out every single republican in 2022.

run to NYT instead?

btw why hasn’t McDaniel put out a statement about all the Dems/Independents who attended Trump campaign rallies, as she did after each event?

Australia’s Rush Limbaugh - Alan Jones - has just returned to Sky following his Christmas vacation. You will like this:

VIDEO: 11min: 1 Feb: Sky News Australia: Alan Jones: Argument about US voter fraud is ‘not a conspiracy’
“According to the American electoral system, for all its imperfections, Joe Biden is the president of the United States and the leader of the free world,” Mr Jones said.
“In America, voting takes place under 50 different state systems … in the recent American election, absentee voting was expanded to 118 million voters in 34 states ad mail-in ballots were sent to all 44 million voters in nine States.”
Mr Jones noted Donald Trump “tweeted long and loud about the potential for voter fraud”.
“It is hard to believe that the voter fraud allegations will go away,” (Jones) said.

"unproven claims"...

So, Rona Romney is telling voters that what they say on video didn't exist? Including a live demonstration in Georgia where the hacker got into a voting machine through the WiFi AFTER the CEO testified that the machines couldn't be connected to the internet?

Unproven claims in districts that destroyed ballots which showed clear fraud? Dead people voting?

The Republican half of the Uniparty is looking forward to their reunion with the Democrat half of the Uniparty. When votes don't matter, neither do politicians.

Why would you want to do that? The RINOs are jumping ship.

It does seem somewhat that way.

On January 6th, the National RNC staff were on vacation in the Caribbean. Conspicuously AWOL from supporting POTUS on a definitive day in history as far as I am concerned.

She’s Mitt Romney’s niece. That was overlooked for over 4 years... the thinking was that she shouldn’t be tarred with her uncle’s sins.

She recently stated that if POTUS runs for President in 2024, he will not receive an endorsement from the RNC in the primary.

It’s all starting to make sense now.

The RNC is going to have to be euthanized. spit

'Unproven claims' is legal legerdemain that simply means it did not go through the courts' triers of fact.
No court, no proven claims. There was plenty of evidence if a court
would have taken one of the Trump cases.

Where ONE, and only one court in Michigan, took up a fraud case in a
county's shady voter count, lo and behold election fraud was found. So these verbal misdirections
by kowed GOPers and the MSM need to be shredded.
