Veteran Republican strategist Karl Rove on Monday said he has known about Lincoln Project co-founder John Weaver’s “pattern of behavior” since 1988 following a bombshell report in which Weaver was accused of sending unwanted sexually explicit messages to nearly two dozen young men.

Wow. Just wow.
Compare this to the #metoo movement and Weinstein. Is it different because it’s male on male and not male on female?
That seems to defy logic.
On top of that, if some of the victims are under 18 that is a felony.
Interesting that throughout this time Weaver was a top aide to John McCain. McCain wanted to be known for “crossing the aisle”. I guess Weaver took “crossing the aisle” to the extreme.
All I can think of as to why Rove didn’t say anything, maybe that type of perversion is not terribly rare in the bowels of Washington D.C.

This reminds me of the Penn State Football Coaches who covered for Jerry Sandusky raping little boys. Rove’s career should be over...just like Paterno!

Just like Weaver certainly had many more victims than will ever come forward, Rove certainly knows many more men who are out there molesting young boys. Yet he allows it to continue. What a depraved community Washington is.

I could, but I am not going to make any moral judgments here. I think I am fairly typically equipped work ethically, where do these people get this time to do this excrement?

In fact he did.
But consider, Facebook was only founded in 2004, Twitter in 2006. This was long before MeToo and just what one would do and who one would go to wasn't clear.
Most of what Weaver was doing wasn't illegal, but Rove did talk about Weaver's behavior in 2004, and was called a liar who was just spreading rumors.
If you want to get angry at Rove consider that he actually knew about Weaver's behavior years before that (as far back as 1988), and only started talking after Weaver started his own firm and became a competitor.
Is this aiding and abetting?
Completely acceptable behavior for the ruling class...
