A week and a half into the Biden presidency, Democrats are adopting a more muscular approach to dealing with Republicans, essentially declaring they will work with them if they can but are prepared to move past them if they must.
Top Senate Democrats are now working on dual tracks, planning to hold a speedy impeachment trial to avoid derailing President Biden’s legislative agenda while also laying the groundwork for Biden’s covid relief package to pass shortly afterward.
The moves come after Biden launched his administration without Republicans in his Cabinet and started by issuing dozens of executive actions, a clip far more rapid than any of his recent predecessors.
Taken together, the moves are energizing Democrats eager for the party to flex its political muscle. But the tougher approach could also jeopardize one of Biden’s chief goals: achieving more bipartisanship in a capital that has been gripped by polarization.

Gotta peel the onion a bit; Dems have a strategy which is to pass laws, EO’s, private sector rules such as not hiring, censorship, etc, and push Conservatives to a breaking point at which there will be pockets of armed resistance. If this should indeed occur it will give Dems and Left the opportunity they’ve been waiting for to enact their gun grab which they will do for sure.

I’m always looking at the basics.. where and who started this..
years of republican roll over... giving in to “my dear friend” across the aisle. the reps didn’t notice friendship had turned to raw power on the dem side of that aisle.
the guard had changed.. people had gotten ugly with talk.. respect was gone.. global power was rampant.
mcconnell is WAY too conveniently a fence rider and most of the time on the edge of anti Trump. he’s pure political ..

Since ‘there’s no difference between the parties’, per many here, why should we care how Biden operates?
President Le Petomane will have plenty of bipartisan support for amnesty, he already has Flimsey Grahamnesty, Micro Rubio, Thommy Tillis and John Cornyn, there are more waiting in the wings.

Biden has now control of Americas and its illegal voting system. America may never recover. The Republicans have failed us and President Trump kept installing communists Democrats in his 4 years. No way to win.

Yeah. “Bi-partisian” really only means “Buy Party’s Son” to the Biden family, Waters, Pelosi, Kennedy, and Schumer families.
Their whole (fake) effort at unity lasted as long as the speech. To any ABCNNBCBS announcer, bi-partisian means “We got one GROPElite to vote with this time.”
Basically the Democrats know their time is short, so they will do as much damage as possible with the time they have, knowing once in place, it will almost be impossible to undo.

Different times, different demographics. Much more diverse, population is comingled politically, philosophically, socially, economically, work, you name it. I have serious doubts that a large revolt of any type is possible. Most folks will take the easy path of “go along to get along”.
You had to look really closely and not miss it because it went by so quickly.
Peak was holding back from imprisoning all registered GOP voters although they are obviously all dangerous domestic terrorists down to the last one of them. That inhibition lasted over a week.
New Dem compromise: allowing Kasich, George Will and William Kristol to be Gulag prison guards. Got the idea from WWII.

Even with the combined assets of the regular military and national guards they wouldn’t have enough manpower to disarm 100 million armed citizens.
However they will have to attempt it and hope to carry their bluff.
The longer they take to attempt it the more organized the citizens will become.
They won’t be able to venture out of their fortifications for fear of snipers everywhere.
No it will be a lot different than the “different times” they plan for.
