I never thought we were unified on 9/11.

That’s great, but everyone is going to pay for this. What makes the author think the people in the rural areas and suburbs are safe from the leftists? Look for masses of illegal immigrants to move into all areas of the country. If you are a taxpayer, you cannot escape. Education at all levels is becoming communist and racist propaganda. Unless you are Daniel Boone living off the land out in the boonies, there is no escaping the commie revolution.

This same type of disassociation is also felt by many Americans living in suburban areas. They recognize their way of life is incompatible with that exhibited in large cities. This results in suburban dwellers venturing into cities less often. Once there, they feel unsafe and unwelcome.

I'm almost 70 years old. I've felt that way since I was a kiddo. It's not only unsafe, it's revolting and disgusting.

I don't see the point here. No matter how we frame running from the democrat ruined cities as "secession", the fact is that with the dems in complete control of the government, their policies will impact all of us no matter where we run.

Short of a significant event, I don't see us escaping the dems agenda.

Secession is a copout. A time waster to cover the moral cowardice on display when our Country was stolen right before our eyes and...Nothing.

Those who failed to rise against a stolen election won’t have any more steel in their spines to back up secession.

I live in a rural area in Arkansas with lakes and rivers and love it.. The closet city is about 60 miles, and I like it that way!

That's COVID, not politics or crime.

People in the more affluent and secure suburbs think what's going on the cities won't affect them, so they are pretty complacent about things.

If you live in a suburb right outside an urban center or if you had to work hard to move from the city to the suburbs, you probably have a more realistic and pessimistic view about what's happening in the cities, but people who grew up in the suburbs often think that they are insulated from all that.

Americans who live in rural and some suburban areas are executing a secession of their own. They are disassociating themselves from the lifestyles, cultural mores, laws, and self-inflicted wounds exhibited in our large cities.

Bingo; but I'm still downwind of any fallout that may come in the future.

Secession: It’s Constitutional

https://www.wnd.com/2012/11/secession-its-constitutional/

An oldie but goodie by Walter Williams. It was so sad when he died. There aren’t many like him.
