If YT can reset the dislikes, what prevents them (if anything), from making the likes increase? From adjusting likes and dislikes to align with views?
Why doesn’t YT just make up all three numbers to their “liking”?

To me the key bit is the now constant, periodic corrections to the “dislikes”. Note especially the slopes of each climb of the “dislikes” - all are the same and identical to the slope of the original accumulation of “dislikes” (before they caught the “problem” and “fixed” it.)
