Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), who has long billed herself as an enemy of Wall Street, is urging the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to review the recent surge in stock for video game retail company GameStop that was spurred by an online Reddit community.
*snip*
Warren is asking the SEC to respond by February 5 to a series of questions, including “What were the causes of the recent dramatic shifts in GameStop share prices?” and “Did these shifts represent a ‘fair, orderly, and efficient’ market function?”
Notably, Warren asks the SEC to “what extent did online message boards, such those on Reddit, or broader social media amplification impact the fluctuation of GameStop’s prices?” and if the Redditors’ practices “violate existing securities laws?”

Elizabeth Warren Urges SEC to Review GameStop Surge
The swamp is really getting exposed. If they crack down on individual investors and force everyone to use brokerage houses the even normies might wake up.
Ha HA HA
Is she going to ask to what extent the hedge fund crooks and their MEDIA conspirators have when they target a stock and go on national TV and tell everyone X company is dead their business model is no longer valid and they are headed for bankruptcy? Is she going to ask about fund managers sending out letters telling all their buddies to short a particular stock then launch a massive negative media campaign against the same company?
Is she going to ask those probing questions?
Why they sure get pissed off when you use their rules and game against them
Pocahontas is coming to the rescue of hedge fund traders. The fake Indian is also a fake enemy of the Wall Street insiders.
She has a talent for choosing the wrong side of every issue. Did she learn this at her wine cave meetings?
Though this saga is being cast as a David and Goliath story, it is really hedge funds against hedge funds...and the little day traders just make an interest side show. In other words, though the day traders saw the overage of short sales, some big hedge funds did too and the big funds jump on the squeeze band wagon and that's what drove GameStop so high.
That said, Robinhood is hanging on by the skin of its teeth. And deservedly so IMO.
EW has donned the “black hat” of the billionaire hedge fund guys.
If Reddit gets into trouble over this it would be their own fault for not donating millions of dollars to Warren’s campaign fund.

No cabinet position for Psychojewea?
If they go after anyone it’ll be the reddit guys who bought shares of a publicly traded company, not the hedge fund fat cats.
Dear Ms. Warren:
The stock went up.
People commented anonymously on it.
End of report.
Every now and again, there are excesses in the market place. It happens. It should stand as a cautionary tale to investors and speculators, not as a reason to throw the baby out with the bath water...
Uh oh.The hedge funds who are the financiers of the Democrat Party are facing bankruptcy. They are howling loudly. Imagine the frenzied phone calls. “Did you think we gave you all that money because we love America? Do something now! We’re melting....melting.....melting ....”
Don’t these hedge funds exchange information? How is that different?
Of course. The revolting little people are revolting. Only he approved buddies can play the game to enrich themselves.
