President Joe Biden traveled to Walter Reed hospital Friday to visit some of the wounded members of the Armed Forces.
“These kids are amazing. And thank God there’s not as many people to visit,” Biden said to reporters as he left the White House to board Marine One for the trip.

I’m guessing that he meant it as a relief, remembering the higher number of wounded in WRAMC during the years he was VP. But I can easily consider him having a darker meaning.

Why did he change his schedule and go to Walter Reed?
I suspect it was for him and visiting the troops was just a cover.

I think it was more of a case that they asked the soldiers - who wants a visit from Biden, and there were not many takers.
Been volunteering at WR since the Afghan war. Started out on the amputation ward.
It makes me sick to think of him going there for a photo op. He could care less about those men and women.

I’m wondering idly how many men and women have passed through the patient wards of that place in, oh, say the last 47 years during which Biden was in federal office.
