After buying my first home, which was built in early 1900s, I found a newspaper in the attic. It had an editorial about the Nazis and Goering. Goering was threatening to bomb Britain. The editorial discounted Goering’s threats. The writer said there was goodness in every man which would stop Goering from taking such an evil step.
