Stop the Third Party Insanity
TownHall Blog ^ | Jan 28, 2021 | Kurt Schlichter

Posted on 01/28/2021 4:25:29 PM PST by Chad C. Mulligan

Ditching the GOP is a bad idea born of justifiable frustration, and we need to stop being emotional and start being ruthless in our campaign to retake this country from these liberal establishment aspiring fascists. A third party is not the way. It is a bad idea, one that is technically impractical and which is strategically inept. It will lead to disaster. And the Democrats know it, which is why they love this third party palaver. The only thing that makes the tooting likes of Eric Swalwell coo in delight harder than some mediocre Chi Com honeypot is the thought of us conservatives committing ritual suicide by splitting our half of the country in two because some of the 50 percent of Americans in our camp are insufferable sissies.

Schlichter at his sarcastic best. But he's absolutely right on this one. Only other thing as dangerous to conservatism would be an Article V convention. (Dons Nomex suit and gloves)

GOP is still dead to me. Nothing is going to change this position.

No, not totally. I’m mocking more the idol worship, not necessarily what the Golden calf says.

This doesn’t look like a plan for restoring the party’s credibility with conservatives. It also doesn’t look like a plan to restore integrity in the election process.

And before I quit thinking about a third party, I’d like to know how they spent the $207M that was raised to Stop the Steal.

Word around the campfire is they kept all of it.

Trump exposed the GOP for what it wasn’t: effective and interested in the rule of law and upholding the Constitution.

As we speak Susan Collins is trying to figure out how to disqualify Trump without so much as a trial.

Nah, third party’s looking pretty good. The GOP brand is obliterated forever.

The GOP must die as long as Cheney, McCarthy, McConnell, Cornyn and Graham are leadership and as long as Sasse, Romney etc are not muzzled.

Until they are gone, it is best for us to focus on razing the party. Only then can we build a party to attempt to restore America.

Think of it as being in a firefight. One of your soldiers is a deliberate traitor and keeps firing at other platoon members. Neutralizing him is critical for you to have any hope of defeating the advancing enemy.

What choices are the GOP giving us? They make gestures of conciliation to the conservative elements in the party, and once elected do what they damn well please. We’ve tried damn near everything to get their attention to no avail. Perhaps prying some of their asses out of their comfy DC gig will get their attention.

No.
The GOP is a useless vessel. A complete subsidiary of the UniParty, and unless we dump it nothing will ever change.

"Stop the Third [??? emphasis added] Party Insanity"

If all patriots dump the worthless RINO party for Trump’s MAGA party, there will still be only two main political parties.

I see no reason for defeating Democrats if you are going to hand it over to Mitch, Cheney, Romney, McCarthy, Cornyn, etc.

They will pursue the same Davos globalism but we will still get flooded with illegal aliens and migrants, still dance like a monkey on a stick for the Saudis and Chinese, and have crooked elections.
