Just curious, who can? DC residents only or anyone?

Anyone. See this.

He was taken into custody for having a black .9mm Sig Sauer handgun and the ammunition, the report said.

Note to self, next Sig get the Desert Tan.

8% of Free Americans have secured right to concealed carry. Only in unfree D.C. is this a shocker.

“Data from the Crime Prevention Research Center, a pro-gun rights think tank, indicate that there are about 16.5 million active concealed carry permits in the U.S., only 182,000 of which have been issued by the populous states of California and New York. “Outside the restrictive states of California and New York, about 8 percent of the adult population has a permit,” a July report from the center noted.”

Notice how the third paragraph in the story frames the reason for his being arrested.

20 rounds? Maybe a P365 with California mags?

Excellent choice of weaponry. I would step it up a caliber or two. Just not partial to the squat and pee round.

This speaks to why my wife and I didn’t go there on the sixth. I told her I would not go there unarmed, and it is illegal to be armed there. So unless I have a death wish, I’ll never see DC in person

The last time this “domestic terror” apprehension happened didn’t it turn out to be a licensed security guard?

In DC you even have to register ammunition.

Even an empty fired case is against the law in D.C. unless you have a D.C. firearm permit. Sort of like the law in Mexico.

“possession of unregistered ammunition”?

How do you register ammo; last time I checked, none of my ammo has a serial number on each individual round!

Racist! But seriously, who would be stupid enough to be anywhere near the Capitol with a gun?
