AC I am the same, I kept working at my law office every day of China virus, have been on a plane several times and drove to *gasp* Houston three times and back during China virus. Put on a mask when required only because people wanted me to not because I thought it was prudent.
Most countries this article is praising are islands.
And it’s clearly a hit piece on nationalism considering thencooment about what they consider the worst two countries for dealing with the pandemic.

The total # of confirmed cases and or deaths is not how you rate the status and effectual response, versus the % of deaths among confirmed cases (CFR), and estimated cases (IFR) plus such important factors as population density, average age, and obesity rate and climate. And at 1.5%, New Zealand has a higher CFR than many other countries, but lower than the US which at 1.7% is about in the middle of other countries, and with Singapore having the lowest rate at 0.0%
