A guy who owns a bar/restaurant in Staten Island has been engaged in an ongoing battle for months against the city’s lockdown orders. He would defiantly open the place for indoor dining, and was regularly visited by the police to have the place shut down.
It reached a climax around the holidays when crowds of supporters would gather around the place and try to keep it open.
The owner was arrested at one of the demonstrations for (allegedly) using his car to injure a sheriff’s officer.
The story was back in the news last week because the grand jury presented with the case refused to indict him.
The propagandists at ABCCBSCNNFOXNBCNPR are trying to gloss over the truth that these raids on lockdown defiers are being done by sheriffs because the local police (and likely local politicians) won't enforce illegal diktats that the governors themselves violated.
