The Saudis can’t use the weapons they already have. Their military has a lot of expensive toys but they don’t train and they don’t care.
They lost a war against the Houthi rebels for Allah’s sake!
The Iranians would be able to walk into Saudia if it wasn’t for the US forces there — whether the Sauds have “smart bombs” or not.
What about UAE?
But, let’s say that’s the same story. Then the weapons’ sales don’t really change anything in the ME. But they do mean billions of dollars to US companies and their employees, stockholders, etc. They in some cases also reduce our costs of production by increasing manufacturing volume.
