The only tweet or remark of Trump's that I thought was unfortunate was the one about McCain being captured:
“He was a war hero because he was captured,” Trump said at the Family Leadership Summit, in Ames, Iowa. “I like people who weren’t captured.”
I despised McCain and I get what he meant, but it was phrased poorly and implies that people who were captured were to blame. It probably lost Trump a lot of RINO support.
I had no problem with it. McCain never stopped stomping on us, he was a GOP Er who defended democrats always. He never let us forget he was a war hero
I have known personally POWs who would never do that. The were heroes of the Highest order for their bravery, virtue and patriotism.
McCain pretended he was Patton like. He was not.
When it comes to my brothers who never saw home again I am nothing.
They gave up everything even the right to breathe, while I got to relive the pogey bait and round eye dream, while bearing the title of veteran.
I think of them every day and my time of honor with them.
When I see one of “Us” use his military service to further his political or personal fortunes my blood boils - these swine are sucking blood from the sacrifice of my dead brothers.
If I ever got near McCain I might have broken his lowlife nose.
