“Eye for an eye and tooth for a tooth,” is a wisdom even American penal laws are incapable of following. Retribution has to have limits based on the damages incurred. But we desire vengeance in our laws.
Cancel culture has picked up this principle and I think they both stem from the wicked seed of wrath.

The justice system is horribly flawed and absolutely biased by political ideology.
It is no longer blind.
These rants about presidential pardon power is urinating into the wind compared to the very serious problems we are facing in our judicial system.
I'd say at least 95% of the criminal statutes have no place in Federal law. The U.S. Department of Justice didn't even exist until 1870, and this country was hardly a lawless society when Federal crimes were pretty much limited to tax evasion and treason.
“Controversy” that’s their big watchword. They were determined to make EVERYTHING Trump said or did “controversial” when in fact almost every policy decision was fairly normal. They are continuing with this line of attack.
