In considering the Trump presidency we must conclude that the reasons why Trump got elected in the first place exist now more than ever...When the nation's two-party system fails to resolve the issues of the day, voters look elsewhere.
The Tea Party was a protest movement inside and outside of the Republican Party believed:
—Government was no longer responsive to voters.
—It also believed that big government was not the solution but, as Reagan so cogently explained, the source of our problems.
Those problems included weak economic growth, government overreach, out-of-control spending, political and media elitism, attacks on traditional American values, and a grid-locked political system. By 2016, that very sentiment boiled over in the American electorate. Donald Trump captured it. Rather than court the Establishment, Trump cursed it by promising to 'drain the Swamp.'
Once in office, the elitists spent four years attacking Trump. The Democrats and media attacked every aspect of existence and ridiculed his policies. Meanwhile, the left leaning media wantonly derided Trump supporters, continuing their their assault on American Values. All of this adds up to the Washington Establishment not being able to run President Trump out of D.C. fast enough.
Their current success has not changed the reasons our nation's 45th commander in chief was elected. Quite to the contrary, the high tax and high regulatory policies of President Biden, matched with the pandemic downturn, will lead to a weak economy for years....This is to say, much of America is not only not being heard, it's under attack.
In reality, few believe government will solve those problems, especially since government is the cause of them. Indeed, government largesse, as well as the politicians promoting it, have rarely solved major issues of the day; rather it institutionalzes problems, to harken back to Reagan.

cont’d.....the reasons why Trump got elected in the first place exist now more than ever, just waiting for someone to, once again, capture the sentiment of discontent. Those reasons haven’t gone away, and they aren’t about to either.
Ultimately, the “discontent(ed)” that won’t go away will be loaded onto boxcars and shipped to Gulags for disposal.
All of this is not going to end well. Sad.
It’s more than ever.. and yet GOP doesn’t appear to offer any push-back or resistance to Biden nominees or anything he wants to do..
And the harder the commies push the harder the resistance will be. The rocks themselves will cry out for freedom.
As soon as I get a chance, I will change my party from Republican to Patriot. My theory is that if enough Republicans do that, it will send a message to the Congress Critters and they will start to think twice before penning their names on insane legislation.
I think that any sane Democrats should consider doing the same thing, as nobody, save the few elites, will benefit from the politics of the hard Left. Hey, pipe fitters, you want those 90,000 dollar jobs back?
It’s more than ever.. and yet GOP doesn’t appear to offer any push-back or resistance to Biden nominees or anything he wants to do..

The IDIOTIC way of thinking of enough of the (so called) Rs is that the Ds were ‘bad’ being so ‘mean’ to PDJT that maybe if we are nice to their pRez, they will be nice to us next time.
As a result of the IDIOTIC way of thinking, the Ds/LIBs don’t accept the olive branch, they go in attack mode against ANY R that dare question anything their pRez does and the other Rs form ranks with the Ds/LIBs hoping to gain favor and never truly realizing that the only thing a D/LIB hates worse than a dissident is one who is a traitor to their own cause....
No, it isn't. The question is can anyone channel that discontent as successfully as Trump can and did? I'm not sure someone else can.
We always knew the government elites held a level of contempt for us working folks but now it’s on full shameless display and if you watch tv news you’d think everyone loves it. Trump was the first one in a long time to actually pay us some attention and not just tax us even more for things we don’t agree with.
And when you actually keep a good promise it means a lot.
Agreed. When we have effete leaders saying “biden is my president” where else but outside the party are we to go? Did these same invertebrates hear the democrats say that trump was their president the past 4 years? Trump tried to show these jellyfish how to fight. Few learned.
You beat me to it.
We can discuss further on the train to the camps.
Who should you believe, the media, or your lying eyes?
The GOP is a lot cause.
They are just a different version of the (D) party.........................
Both parties are globalist. That is the core problem.
Not only is not going away, it’s growing. This is not going to end well.
After 50 years I became Not a Republican 4 years ago. I am Independent but might consider claiming a third party.
I do hope the discontent not only does not not go away but festers and grows like a boil until it finally pops. It will be as ugly as it sounds.
For now we can only hope Trump put enough Judges on the bench that will count and that States Rights catches on and picks up steam. I would not mind being a citizen of TexArOkLa a new and self-sufficient autonomous region whose biggest expense would be border control with both of the Mesicos. Sequestering enclaves like Austinastan will also occupy a good amount of resources.
OH HELL NO! I’m getting our party back!!! 3 rd parties have alwsys ensured a DemonKKKrat victorious dynasty! Look at what happened in the three-way race when Clinton was a candidate. Perot handed him the presidency on a silver platter! So hell no I want those bastard RINOS kicked the hell out of our party! We will not bend over and grant them their wish...IT’S OUR PARTY not the other way around. 75 million of us say....let’s kick their asses out!

NWO....Davos..they couldn’t afford Trump on the world stage taking down this beeesssss
Thinking people who value the traditions of America are sickened by the political class, thus Trump as an outsider still carries significant influence and support.
