Republican Senator for Florida Marco Rubio on Sunday declined to speculate on rumors that former US president Donald Trump’s daughter, Ivanka, may challenge him for his seat in 2022, saying only that anyone seeking to take his position in the Senate will face a “tough race.”
Speaking to Fox News, Rubio also said that trying the former president in the Senate would be counterproductive and like “pouring gasoline on the fire.”
Ivanka Trump, a former senior adviser to the president, is said to be considering a run for office and rumors were given a further boost after she and her husband, Jared Kushner, recently purchased a multi-million dollar property in Miami.
Asked how he felt about a primary challenge from Trump, Rubio responded, “Well, I don’t really get into the parlor games of Washington.”
Rubio went on, “When you decide to run for reelection in a state like Florida, you have to be prepared for a competitive race, you run it like a competitive race, so that’s what I’m preparing to run, a very competitive race against a tough opponent.
“I don’t own the Senate seat, it doesn’t belong to me. If I want to be back in the US Senate I have to earn that every six years.

It’s like most conservatives who move to the swamp. They go in with (relatively) pure hearts and good intentions, and become more corrupt every year they’re there.

It would be interesting if every adult Trump picked a state to run in. Funny to watch the MSM scramble to try to destroy ALL of them when they’re EVERYWHERE. Just picking on PDJT was all consuming.

I believe she’s doing the first phase. She’s looking at interest, leadership, canvessing to see if she even has a chance. I forgot the word for it.
Ivanka is a liberal supporter of the LBGT agenda. If anything she will drag her father down if she runs against Rubio.

All this talk about Ivanka or Don, Jr. or other family members for office is very puzzling to me. Trump ran for office after having built a multi-billion dollar, world class, business empire through his own hard work. He proved what he can do. What have Don, Jr. or Ivanka or Eric ever done? Everything they have is due to their father. Everything they have accomplished was possible only because they were Donald Trump’s child. Unlike their father they haven’t shown how they would handle adversity. And nowadays there is no adversity like a political campaign. If Ivanka runs she won’t be treated like daddy’s princess. She will be ripped six ways from Sunday and I highly doubt she’s near ready for that.
Micro Rubio is your man.

The terms “Conservatism” and “Liberalism” may be a little more useful to the political conversation than “Republican” and “Democrat” - but not much.
The real political battle now is over the future of the Republic.
Classic Liberal agendas such as wealth equality, sustainable energy, gun control and social justice are no longer what drive the Democrat party - at least not in any sincere way.
The Democrat party and the Left in general has long been infiltrated and co-opted by the true enemies of the USA - the CCP and power hungry globalist allies the CCP has in its pocket.
Unfortunately, many so called “Republicans” and so called “Conservatives have been co-opted - to the point where most political nomenclature is useless.
Just about the only political leaders we can be sure our on our side against the CCP and it’s uniparty bedfellows are President Trump, his family and a few others who have risked everything to stand up for the truth in recent days.
Despite her sympathies for various “liberal causes” (who cares?), Ivanka Trump is squarely on our side in her father’s struggle over the soul of America.
This fight is not about “social injustice”, “climate change” or “gun proliferation” - the Left only uses those causes to divide us - it is power they are after.
By the way, if the Left can get us to turn against parts of the Trump family - because some of them are too “liberal” - wouldn’t that be a feather in their cap!
Let’s not make this too easy for the Left. I guarantee Ivanka Trump is as loyal to her father as any daughter could ever be - and most likely very pissed.
I am looking forward to watching her and her siblings exact their revenge for what just happened.

Excuses excuses. I blame voters like you. But you don’t take responsibility for your disastrous state. Not surprised. As far as Rubio goes, I’ll see who runs in the primary and vote accordingly and will vote in the general for the republican. I don’t want Florida to turn out to be like your horrible state.
