First shots: 650,000 (slow day, only 2/3rds of baseline goal)

I’m considered front line so I have already had my 2nd dose. My wife works in a hospital too and has had dose 1 already. I know lot of folks poo poo the virus and the vaccine but I believe in both. I’m pretty sure Covid would kill me and if it didn’t, I think the US health care system just as easily could.

Went to the doctor this afternoon. Doc examined both of us and recommended we both get the vaccine.
The wife and I are 85 but judged to be healthy enough to get the vaccine.

And you won’t have full immunity until 2 weeks after dose 2 apparently and there’s 3-4 weeks in between dose 1 and 2.
You have voiced what I truly believe is happening. The odd thing is the elderly are the highest at risk group for dying. We are also the least valued. I, along with most over 70 group, would volunteer to let younger at risk persons take my place in line. The thing is, this nation’s government should not be allowed to murder the elderly. It’s one thing to offer my life for someone and quite another to have it seized from me.

I hope we’re wrong. My Aunt and Uncle are in their 70s and they have both had dose 1 here in Ohio. They’re both uber democrats living in a Republican town, county, and state.

Then it has slowed down this week. So either there is a delay in the data or President Joe Biden’s plan was rolled out to only give 1M per day.
