An Indianapolis teen whose dad had just yelled at him for leaving the house without permission turned a gun on his family, killing five relatives, according to authorities and reports Monday.
“He shot them!’’ the 17-year-old suspect’s sister screamed in the middle of Sunday’s 3:45 a.m. bloodbath, according to a police report obtained by the local Fox 59 affiliate.
The dead were identified as Kezzie Childs, 42, Raymond Childs Jr., 42, their 18-year-old son Elijah, 13-year-old daughter Rita, 19-year-old Kiara Hawkins, and her nearly full-term unborn child, “Baby Boy Hawkins,” according to police and local station WRTV.
The alleged killer, who has not been named by authorities because of his age, was arrested Monday after cops tracked him down to the suburb of Plainfield, Ind., officials said.
His younger brother was critically wounded in the bloodshed — but lived to tell authorities what happened, according to the police report cited by Fox.
The boy said his alleged murderous sibling was enraged over being reprimanded by their father for taking off without permission.
The younger brother said he was with his parents downstairs when they heard the first gunshots upstairs and his sister screamed, Fox said.
The sound of more bullets followed — then the killer “came down the stairs with a draco gun, a handgun that shoots rifle rounds, and started shooting,’’ his brother allegedly told cops.
The younger sibling fled out the door, only to his brother chase after him, firing at him, Fox said.

True dat. There was a local white “teen” who murdered his Mother and three siblings. The interesting stat would be to break down highly “unstable” teens by race.
.....I’m no statistic’s expert but I THINK this is unusual for a black family to experience. Not sure I’ve ever heard a similar story.

If the kid is too young for his name and other info to be released, he is far too young to own or lawfully possess any firearm. So where did it come from? And that gun is not cheap. Who bought it?

Even normal, 2 parent, law abiding homes will produce psychopathic, criminal monsters sometimes. Saw enough of that in my 13 years of working in a prison. Maybe not as often as criminals from toxic family backgrounds but it happens.
Few years ago, a Russian immigrant slaughtered his entire family down to new-born infants. He used a knife. Don’t know what it was about. Somebody said something they shouldn’t.
Looks like there was a father in the home, who had rules and wanted them respected. Maybe the “kid” was extra angry about this if his gang member friends didn’t have that burden in life....it sure would have made it tougher for the kid that was required to behave himself.
I notice big gold marijuana leaves worn on chains around their necks.
They also wear big gold AK-47s the same way. Big magazine hanging down.

Who knows, but I’d guess the household was awake because the father was trying to contain a rampaging 17 year-old gang member who wanted to go out for drugs, murder, and rapine as was his wont.
