Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-NC) has admitted that he never thought there was large-scale voter fraud that occurred in the 2020 presidential election, and he only opposed certifying the electoral college results as a political calculation.
Cawthorn made the admission when he was pressed during an appearance on CNN. Liberals are gloating on Twitter over Cawthorn’s pathetic and embarrassing hypocrisy:
“I think I would say the election was not fraudulent. The Constitution allowed for us to be able to push back as much as we could, and I did that to the … constitutional limits that I had at my disposal. So now I would say that Joseph R. Biden is our president,” Cawthorn said.

Wow. That turnabout was faster than Mia Love.
Boy, the pressure must be immense once they get to DC and are surrounded by swamp creatures. It must be something in the air....and the desperate need to get along and fit in.
He’ll hear an earful from back home, for sure.

Wow .... how long ago was this that Meadows “ once prepped young Cawthorne when the kid applied for military school” and “the accident destroyed that”??
Sounds very Hastert-ish. 😱

It’s the old internal pressure tactics. Sone old guard bulls take the youngster aside privately and tell him how impressed they are by his victory, that he has a bright future in the party, and that the key to success is to be “patient”, learn to be a “team player, and one day soon you will be supported for a leadership position. A junior committee role, then if you do well and don’t make waves, something even better. It’s all about being patient, and remembering Reagan’s 11th commandment “Thou shalt not talk ill of another Republican (unless that other Republican is a true conservative). The young lad is in awe as Minority Leader McCarthy gives him a wink and thumbs up, and invites him to lunch soon with an influential person in. SuperPAC. It’s happened time and time again.

Not a big deal. Madison should had said that while he had issues with the certification of the election, he recognizes Joe Biden as the current President of the United States. He's young. We'll have to give him a break.
To: Jane Long
Mark nominated him to the United States Naval Academy......2014
The same year he was involved in a terrible accident.....he was 18
He’s now 25

Maybe more like Pelosi will strip people of committee assingments for refusing to recognize the election as legitimate. I am a stubborn S.O.B., and would take the punishment and wear as a badge of honor. However, I can understand that others don't want to pay that price. Most pols keep one ear to the ground to listen for public opinion. The case needs to be made to the masses that the election was stolen. Really, the Congressional "debate" on Jan. 6-7 was quite lacking.

What kind of prepping did Meadows do, for Madison, that was destroyed?
Maybe I misunderstood your post.

By destroyed I mean the car accident was brutal......
.....someone else was driving.....
...as I understand Madison was close to dying....
....he lost the use of his legs....
I believe he has had multiple operations

I look forward to the day that quo warranto crap gets banned in this forum. Biden is both the de facto and the de jure President of the United States. Awful as it is, the election was certified by the Congress and he was sworn in. Shouldn’t have happened. The Legislatures should have acted. But the sooner we recognize unequivocally that no magic wand is going to change that, the sooner we can figure out what we can do about removing President Harris in 2024
