I smell BS from this one. President Trump never said or suggested any such thing. Perhaps he meant Madonna, or one of the other liberal celebrities, or that play in New York, that suggest violence against President Trump.
What did Rudy say in his remarks at the January 6, 2021 event? Could any of Rudy’s comment be taken the wrong way? Just curious.

I call total bs on this. A friend of mine and his family of 4 attended the gathering on January 6th. For the most part, tens of thousands were peaceful and attentive of Trump. A small contingent, separate from the main body and already positioned at the Capital before Trump ended his speech, went into the Capital. What transpired is debatable as those in attendance feel this was a false flag event, possibly started by Antifa and aided by Capital Police and other government agencies. Yes, some peaceful attendees were caught up in the moment and followed inside. They now face charges disproportionate to any placed against rioters in our major cities over the summer. I fume as I read reports referring to the entire body as rioters or an angry mob intent on storming the Capital, especially since some of the major criticism comes from representatives, clergy, or organizations which should be more discerning in their reporting. In the very least I would expect them to qualify the offenders as a small contingent or at least drop the inflammatory adjectives used by the MSM.
The Dems will cite his testimony as proof Trump incited the mob. Simple.
He's not the first one to claim that he thought he was just doing what Trump wanted and he won't be the last.
