I’ve had scores of relatives and friends who have served. All I see now is arrogant DC elites, social-engineering leftists, and corporate oligarchs who absolutely despise “fly over America” - yet still expect them to joint their military, and fight in their wars.
I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

I was in the Army during the Clinton Reign of Error. The exodus of Senior NCOs and Captains was staggering. I processed a LOT of them, myself. ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.’ Remember that?
However, I stuck it out because I needed an education and with so many leaving, it made more room for me to work my way up the Chain of Command.
I initially joined because of Carter and his inability to govern (like ANY Socialist Democrat President) or to even put America’s economy, first. There were NO jobs, NO gas, interest rates through the roof, and no HOPR of my folks helping me pay for college; they were treading water as it was!
