indeed. (I once was in charge of a study to try to discover a way they could be kept clean. It proved impossible in a city where the political hacks had built up tens of thousands of socalled “street people” (dependent on the city for $ and dope, too)...since most of the mess was created by these “street people.” The bus line finally decided to hide the bathrooms behind the pay gate to keep the “street people” out. That cleaned up most of the bathroom mess but resulted in big piles of excrement on the sidewalk on the way into the bus depot.)
