Continuing a flurry of executive action, President Biden signed an order Friday calling on the Labor Department to allow workers to collect unemployment benefits if they quit jobs they fear put them at risk for COVID-19.
Pointing to a Gallup Poll finding that found 43% of Americans live in a household where at least one member has a preexisting condition, the White House wrote in a release: “The President is asking the Department of Labor to consider clarifying that workers have a federally guaranteed right to refuse employment that will jeopardize their health and if they do so, they will still qualify for unemployment insurance.”

"I be afraid of the kungflu, I quit"
Feelings are more important than facts./s
No problem, as the pandemic has made clear future taxpayers have infinite amounts of money to grab.
LOL! Why not just allow those who have a fear of catching ANY pathogen, or perhaps who have a fear of ANY threat to their lives to collect unemployment. Including not only pathogens but fear of dying by a jumbo jet landing on their heads or the building catches fire??
A fast way to shut down businesses....have everyone quit for fear of the wuhanflu.
I am going to call in ‘scared’.
“I’m afraid I won’t be at work tomorrow.”

So, now the folks that DO work are going to be paying taxes that will go to a NEW welfare group: Folks that can just QUIT because of a fear....
At some point will even dEMOCRATS figure out working folks cannot possibly work and pay for EVERYONE who doesn’t want to work?
Oh. Wait. Snap. That would require deep, and honest discussion.

And who is looking after the well-being of the sex-workers who were exposed by this super-spreader event.
There is nothing new under the sun.
I worked with a girl who did just this. She has been drawing unemployment for the last 9 months. She QUIT. The mom & pop I work for fought this to no avail. She was making about $300/wk. Went to $600. The owner would have never laid her off even though revenues have gone down. Don’t be fooled. Bidet ain’t done s**t. Man, I hate liars.
I used to have an eye problem once in awhile.
“I can’t see coming into work today”
Just 207.5 weeks to go!
Listen. There will be PLENTY to blame on 'Heels Up' Harris once she is President!
*SMIRK*
So, are you thereby admitting your continued support for one of the Nation's enemies...
From all indications (and prophecies), there is closer to 207,500 weeks to go...
We can both keep track and see who is closest in the end...
So all of our warehouse workers can stop faking Covid to get disability payments? Now they can just quit and get paid?
There are already 150,000+ warehouse/ DC jobs open in the US - this will make it way worse.
This essential worker has worked tirelessly throughout the covid era. I am no longer concerned about getting it because I’m numb to the stupid around me.
I left the mansion everyday and mingled with my fellow peasants, without a face diaper. Got a fair amount of dirty looks, but no karens wanted to cross me, I guess. Had to leave the local grocery store, though.

Well, pardner, I figure me and about 74 million Americans who voted for that there really good man, Pres Trump, are content to be classified as still continuin’ support for him. By all means, keep me in that ledger’s column.
He’s a really fine gentleman, unlike that sexual pervert living up there right now, in that there White House.
Or to put it another way....
“I’m not leaving that man for love nor money, because he fought and fights well!”
