I’ve read pieces from congresspeople, CEOs of tech companies, from hacks on television (like Karl Rove) that there was no election fraud, let’s move on.
Wait just a minute.
I led the team that built the fraud detection engine for the largest online auction house on the planet. They were on the front page of USA Today because some mother never received that gift for her child after sending in her last dollar. The auction house publicly said their multi-billion-dollar brand was in jeopardy.
I led industrial-scale fraud investigations in the biggest of the big leagues, and proved fraud.

We were hired by most of the top 10 property and casualty insurance firms to find fraud they could not find any other way, fraud that their expert teams said did not exist. It did, at industrial scale.
We quickly learned fraud is icky, unsightly, uncomfortable and those with a vested interest in not finding it, because they couldn’t, denied it. Happens all the time.
My team and I know industrial-level fraud and I can tell you with 100% certainty that the 2020 presidential election had massive, organized, discoverable fraud in most of the swing states.
How do I know this in the face of virtually every media company denying significant fraud?

Edison Research sends data feeds to news outlets during voting, all of the “x number of votes and % for each candidate”.
You can see in the data feed (I have the data files) - when new State update data comes in, when only a few hundred more votes are in from over a million, that the % for PDJT went down .5% while Joe’s went up .5%. That translates to 10,000’s of votes being switched from one candidate to the other.
...that’s just one point of attack - then add up all the others. It’s fraud by a thousand paper cuts.
It isn’t going to stop either. It was an in-your-face “we will not allow another 4 years”.
“So why do you believe Karl Rove?”
That would leave a mark if Rove had blood.
Fraud is truly in the eye of the beholder (since election laws no longer apply!)
Was Al Capone guilty and convicted of widespread murder, theft or bootlegging? No, only tax evasion.
Did he commit murder, theft or bootlegging? He sure as hell did.
Too bad Trump couldn’t find an “Eliot Ness” for his team who could figure out how to overcome the fraud and the courts. Maybe there is no one and if that’s true, how will an election ever fix this?
How do citizens handle a criminal who has the cops and courts in his pocket?
If somebody can’t make the elections legit AT THE STATE LEVEL, we’re all just p*ssing into the wind.

For me, both that article and yours have fundamental truths in them. I’ve known about “guided apophenia” since the 1990s, when I was doing forensic investigations. The principle is firmly established in cyber security investigations, airline crash investigations, safety critical systems design, financial audit and others.
Whenever a complex failure, or major incident happens, there are dozens if not thousands of contributory factors and every possibility must be explored without fear or favor. It’s very important to know when you’re following a credible line of enquiry, or being misdirected, or have talked yourself halfway down a wild goose chase.
As I’ve said on other threads, there’s a reason Lady Justice wears a symbolic blindfold.
If we look objectively at what happened, yes it does appear there were many different strands of electoral abuse. But the minute POTUS and the people around the President started to embrace QAnon nonsense they were apt to produce hyperbolic guesstimates of millions of ballots being manipulated in ten different ways. By doing that they were setting themselves up.
It’s one thing to argue that 1500 votes stolen here and 200 dead voters there and so on, impacted on the election result at a local level - the burden of proof is small. Quite another to secure proof to a court level standard that the activity was replicated to such a scale that it turned the legitimate result across multiple counties, districts, states AND the national level on its head. And you can’t win the bigger argument by reducing the quality of evidence.
If Trump’s team had focused on the quality and provability of their legal argument instead of making hyperbolic claims that couldn’t even be backed up with the truckloads of low-grade bullshit hearsay evidence, they wouldn’t have had the ignominy of a convicted child sex offender with zero credibility standing next to Guliani outside a porn shop professing that he was a credible witness. And so on.
QAnon level thinking that destroyed Trump’s case building: “OK, we know the election was stolen so obviously we need to find bin-bags full of fake votes for Trump. Oh - we haven’t got any. Never mind, here’s a totally anonymous person none of us know who reckons his identity must be kept secret who’s identified a shadowy source on Twitter who’s posted grainy night-time footage of his nan’s bins which CLEARLY shows a bag full of ballots therefore someone’s binned a bag of votes therefore they must’ve been for Trump therefore (a) FRAUD and (b) the bin men were in on it. We’ve got to get this guy on the stand!”
My gut feeling is that there was enough manual fraud to flip a few counties and districts for Trump and there was also some manipulation of the electronic voting. But it was not properly investigated, analyzed, sanity-checked or quality controlled. The result is, lots of bullshit cases that got thrown out.
if you think you can win the Dominion argument by talking about a state or county that doesn’t even use Dominion machines at all, you’re gonna lose. And If you’re talking about boxes and bag-loads of votes being stolen, you need to find those boxes and those bags and tear them open live on national television after securing concrete proof that they came from the counting station and not from a MAGA sweatshop knocking out movie props.
If Trump had gone down the route of “don’t get mad, get even”, and approached it as a legitimate sanity check, he’d have probably won his argument without needing any “stop the steal” protests.

Who cares? They won. We lost. Even if creepy joe and crazy ho had only gotten a single vote next to President Trump’s 300 million, jo and the ho are in the white house.

We have to care EVEN if they got away with it. The fraud has to be put FRONT and CENTER everyday BECAUSE the rotten voting system that allowed the Democrats to successfully cheat is STILL IN PLACE.
You will NEVER be able to replace ANY corrupt politician unless you can fix this voting system, NEVER.

Actually, TPTB seemed to think industrial level fraud was required this election cycle, which is why it was so blatantly obvious.
Normally, they can tilt things to their favor with just a few thousand votes here and there. That is why it is so hard to prove what they are doing in most election cycles. This time it took a much larger fraud to make it stick.
This has been going on for decades. Most times they are just fiddling with edge cases to make sure they get the desired results.
I think it's way past time for us to stand up against election fraud.

algore got a few more "nationwide" votes than did W in 2000. ILLary got a few more "nationwide" votes than did DJT and Plugs got a few more "nationwide" votes (possibly) than did DJT. Simply put that's because big states like Kalifornia,New York,Illinois are populated largely (but *certainly* not entirely) by filthy,filthy,*filthy* creatures.

The Election was decided by tens of Thousands of Votes, (I think the number is about 45,000), not Millions of Votes.
It didn’t take much to turn us into the former Soviet Union, but here we are.
The DEMONcRATS decided that they wouldn’t make the same mistake they did in 2016 when their Candidate was considered a sure thing.
You are right bit the point that’s being missed here is that both sides of the Uniparty have been gaming the system as much as they can while crying foul whenever they see the other side doing it.
Any influence on the count only compounds the idea that there’s us and them. But it’s a fiction. Rat and GOP are two sides of the same rotten coin and they’ve spent decades rigging the system, pandering to corporate lobbies, worshipping Wall Street and MBAs... They’ve ceded so much to outsiders that it would be a miracle if foreign state actors DIDN’T have the whip hand.
So it isn’t just the conservatives who are losing out. It’s anybody who thinks they’re voting for a principle or a person, but who’s really just taking part in a theatrical farce with as much depth to it as the Pepsi Challenge.

The incumbent (R) governor was winning. Around midnight he went to deliver his acceptance speech. oops - they just found 90,000 votes that hadn't been counted in Durham. Just enough to elect the democratic candidate.
