I spent a couple of weeks in the boonies in Germany, where the temperature hovered between 10 degrees and 25 below. It was a training exercise. We were miserable but didn’t assign blame. This was back in the 60’s when the conservatives would have given us a pat on the back and the liberals could care less about our situation. Full circle people. Give these troops a pat on the back but don’t go snowflake about their suffering.
It’s not as though they had adequate accommodations before either, senate cafeteria floor!?
Put them in one of those damned closed museums on the National Mall. There is plenty of space there, and probably a kitchen of some sort. Democrats treat the military like animals sometimes.
Even the homeless and illegals get treated better.

I was in the Illinois NG in 92-93. Twice they sent us to southern Illinois for floods. A whole company had to sleep in the band room of a high school.
No, we couldn’t spread out in the rest of the school and find anyplace more comfortable. Here, just sleep on this tile floor.
Nothing ever changes. Hope these guys and gals will remember being treated like shit.

The Rat party has always had a dislike for the U.S. Military since the Vietnam war. A war they created and a war which they refused to let the U.S. win.
If the Pentagon wanted to they could have sent these guys to the local hotels that were probably vacant anyway or at least provide an area with proper living facilities. The leadership in the Pentagon must have gone nuts to treat these troops this way.
